Everything was perfect apart from we got up to late for breakfast and couldn't get a coffee. But there was a little coffee shop in the hotel next door open so not the end of the world. Kettle in the room would've been nice but wouldn't put me off staying again. Good value for money.

First of all, this is a guesthouse not a hotel. They do have free parking and their location is perfect. There is sea view and they are by the sea lift, which unfortunately wasn’t working. The hotel itself is adequate, the deco is basic and aged. The room is also quite basic, there is also no aircon or fan, thankfully the sea breeze came through when the balcony door is open, our balcony had a sea view which was very nice. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. It only serves breakfast between 08:30 to 09:30, but there was a group of travel tour who also stayed at the hotel, and there were only 3 staff serving all the guests. It ended up being a very long wait for breakfast, which they did acknowledge and apologised. However, I would question if the 10 o’clock check out time is appropriate, as breakfast is until 09:30, and they clearly couldn’t serve everyone in time, how is it realistic to ask guest to check out by 10am?

The hotel is currently under renovation but the work did not interrupt the stay. The room was clean and adaquate, but things like the curtains and carpets need attention. The staff were very helpful and polite. There weren’t many people staying there so it was very quiet and easy to park, but I should imagine parking would be difficult in peak season as spaces were very limited compared to the size of the hotel. The bar was well stocked, but the bar area/room needed decorating. The hotel is in a very convenient position with lovely sea views. I would stay there again.

Parking was easy as the hotel was empty. The pool was closed and this was an important part of the decision to stay there so very disappointing. The view was incredible and the best part. Breakfast waitress was excellent and very attentive. Very helpful chap on duty in the evening as well. Lovely cooked breakfast and croissants. Weird balcony set up left me concerned, as our bathroom window was inside next doors balcony area and not ours!! I think this was only our room though? Very close to town and pubs and shops..

The Ocean View Hotel is in a good location, but unfortunately the property itself feels extremely dated and in need of a full refurbishment. The hotel looks very old, and most of the amenities are worn down from years of use. Furnishings, décor, and fittings appear tired and outdated, which takes away from what could otherwise be a pleasant stay. While the views and location are nice, the overall condition of the hotel does not meet modern expectations. A complete renovation would greatly improve the comfort, appearance, and overall guest experience. As it stands, the hotel feels neglected and does not offer good value for money.

Stayed here for a night booked online really late at night and was greeted at reception by a very pleasant and helpful young lad whose manners and customer service were second to none (very good), the hotel lobby, hallways and room is exceptionally clean to a high standard and the room was to a high standard. Will be coming back for a longer stay next time and would certainly recommend to friends and family or people in general 👍

The Ocean View's strongest features is its location, high above the beach but close to the lift. The downside is that it primarily caters to tour groups, leaving the solo traveler a bit confused at times.

We only stayed one night, which was all we would have managed on that particular bed. The hotel is in need of a makeover and believe it is under new management. It is clean and tidy though and the staff were great. The breakfast was very nice, cooked to order.

This hotel was exactly what we wanted - QUIET!!! The windows were open at night and all we heard were the waves and the birds. I never sleep through the night, but the time we were here - I slept straight through every night!! Amazing! Staff were brilliant and helpful and your restaurant staff treated us like family. Highly recommend your hotel.

We didn't have the evening meal but the breakfast, full English was good apart from the sausages and scrambled eggs! We would return.

Friendly, professional staff team. Lovely big room with a balcony and view out to sea. Beds comfortable with clean fresh white linen. Superb shower. Breakfast service fast and food good . Overall a great place to stay. Room feels a little dated but does not effect the stay. Good indoor swimming pool For our stay there was a very annoying flashing street light immediately outside, this was no fault of the hotel as councils responsibility.

Lovely spot with sea view, rooms need updating, very tired. Bar not open when we were there and no entertainment offered. Nice swimming pool but such a long trek to it with lots of stairs not suitable for everyone. Otherwise as advertised.
