We can highly recommend this B&B. We got a very warm welcome, the room was lovely, the bed comfortable, the breakfast superb & we really enjoyed our stay there. We will definitely look to stay there again if/when we return to the IOW.

Great place to stay on the island

Thanks to the amazing hosts Simon and Jonathan. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay, felt very welcome on arrival. Good breakfast too!

Great location and service

Such a lovely welcome,great attention to detail of any requirements. Lovely location only 8min walk to the beach. Breakfast was fab,lovely quality and cooked very well. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very hospitable father&son team.

Very good hospitable father&son host. Poached eggs at breakfast the best we've had. Other gussts had good ideas/suggestions too as to what was happening in the area for free too, but was too late for us as we were leaving after a 2 night stay. Bed very comfortable. Maybe just a bit of updating in decor needed, but otherwise, yes we would stay again.

Pleasant stay

When we arrived we were greeted with a very warm welcome. We were asked about dietary needs/requirements which is a lovely touch and shows the owners care about their clients. We’ve never been asked at other hotels in the past. Room was clean, tidy and very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and had a lovely big shower. Breakfast was cooked fresh, plentiful and nothing was too much trouble. Overall one of the best places we’ve stayed at so far.

The best place to stay

Steve and Karen were really friendly and helpful there breakfast was some thing else you had so much choice from the menu you could have a small cooked breakfast to a bigger one the choice is yours, there was fruit and Cearl the list goes on, the room was alway nice and tidy and anything you needed Karen or Steve would help you, we have really enjoyed our stay and would go there again, I am all ready telling my friends about my stay.

Great stay

A 4 night break away for complete relaxation and recharge. Simon and Jonathan looked after us extremely well. Room was lovely, spacious and cool. Lovely towels and bed linen. Fantastic breakfast every morning ans place lovey and clean. Lounge/bar area a loey touch and the conservatory and garden beautiful. Lovely walks to the beach too. We will be returning again.

Johnathan and Simon were really warm and welcoming. Room was really nice and bed was comfy! Great size en-suite. B&B was clean and covid safety aware. Breakfast was great and very filling! Would definitely stay again. Thanks for an enjoyable weekend!

Wonderful guesthouse in a quiet location

We had a lovely stay at The Avenue. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The breakfasts were amazing. It is in a nice quiet neighbourhood but very close to everything in Shanklin and the beach. The rooms were very nice and clean and everything is being done perfectly in respect of Covid. The only minor thing was there were no chairs in the room, only a stool, and therefore not quite as comfortable spending time in the room as i would have liked but this is just a minor thing to mention in what is a very well run guesthouse. Recommended.

Excellent hosts. Welcoming, attentive and friendly. Excellent breakfast and choices. Wanting to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Honesty bar with good selection of alcohol and soft drinks. Great location to Shanklin. Rooms clean and good size. Tea and coffee making facilities etc. Ensuite excellent. Double size shower tray piping hot water. Mattress was very 'springy' and could probably do with being being replaced. However overall an excellent experience

Memorable experience.

Great B&B within walking distance of all of Shanklin main attraction run by a dynamic and very knowledgeable father and son duo. We went over for our anniversary and it was an amazing experience, with very helpful hosts. The Avenue was well presented, clean and with everything you need for a trip. The bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. Great breakfast which on good days can be eaten outside in the back garden.
