Luxury escape in Shanghai

Wonderful stay in the new Anandi Hotel and Spa Shanghai. Staff were very attentive and went out of there way to make sure we were taken care of. Rooms were beautiful and spacious. A little far away from town center, but we would highly recommend this place to retreat to and relax in.

Itโ€™s more like a busy family hotel (kids running at lounge/restaurant/room upstairs) than a luxury mindful get away like it is advertised. Tell from hotel staffs face, itโ€™s probably short of manpower and long working hours that everyone looks very tired. They tried to provide nice service but just too overwhelmed. Except the room is spacious, nothing else is luxury. Wedding ceremony in the afternoon and construction noises near by (from 8 am Sunday morning) ruin the entire stay. The miscommunication (housekeeper knock wrong door/phone calls from reception) further disrupt my private time. Not worth to pay extra for executive room ,the executive lounge is really disappointed even the basic cleanliness standard and was given a room at the lowest floor though I explain Iโ€™m very much need quietness (executive floor at 10th but said itโ€™s full so given a room at 3rd)

Great stay in a room with balcony

Absolutely love the hotel. The balcony is unique. It is a bit off the map in location but it is worthwhile coming back! The restaurants are of great value for money. The service is very good!

Still new hotel need to be trained

Great facilities especially room condition was excellent but still need long way to go to be 4-5 stars hotel most of staffs are not trained well seems not have a idea what they are doing and need to do. Only staffs at check in are OK. Restaurants are so so in taste but again service are far behind it should be. Location is not too bed but have some traffic jam during rush hour.

Fabulous stay at The Anandi, given a choice I would stay there when I am in Shanghai as it is relaxing, quiet, and very good value for money. It is a long way from the main drag of shanghai, but if you enjoy peace and quiet, I highly recommend it.
