The hotel staffs are very friendly. Because my mom with me for traveling this time, the front desk lady is so nice to us and we have the room with beautiful view. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. I definitely would like to come back.

I stayed at the Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai for nearly a month and had a wonderful experience. The bedding was very comfortable, the room was kept spotlessly clean, and the indoor swimming pool was my favorite part of the hotel. The housekeeping staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a little old and dated, but the rooms are nice, clean but not worn. The service is great. For the price, it's hard to find a place in a better location. It's a classic hotel with a lot of history.

Lovely hotel and excellent location,(French concession area), ideal for our visit to see our daughter. The only negative was the shower, excellent pressure but over the bath and dual control with bath taps, the shower head kept falling out of the wall bracket especially if pressure was full on…we definitely prefer a cubicle. Bottles of toiletries would also be preferable instead of small tubes. Overall the hotel was great, clean, comfortable and quiet. For info we had a superior double room which had a large king sized bed.

Had to change rooms 3x in one night due to faulty air conditioning in room 1, terrible stench of cigarette smoke in room 2 (in spite of it being a non-smoking hotel). This property is NOT 5 star - rooms are dated and depressing. The location is reasonable. The staff are mixed and speaking Chinese is an advantage if you want to receive some form of service. Would not return.

We had a lovely stay at Okura Garden Hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful historic building in The Former French Concession. The location is great with multiple subway lines close by and walkable to many sights. The room and beds were very comfortable as well a nice bath. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Shanghai.
