“The property is a 200 year old property that has been renovated over the years. More akin to a B&B. Our room was very comfortable. the bed was a little creaky but we were exhausted and slept well. It worked well in a pinch. The proprietor, Edwina, was great.”

“I stayed here to attend a wedding nearby. The staff helped me locate the property (wedding goers had parked in front of the sign and hidden it). I had booked a single room and it was ideal for one person. Shower room spacious and worked well.”

I stayed there for 8 nights and had the following inconveniences: Breakfast was not provided the first day, even though I had paid for it (“I’m not starting to do breakfasts again until tomorrow”); my room was not cleaned on Sunday (“the chambermaid doesn’t work on Sundays”); the first time I used the shower all kinds of black bits of dirt and fungus came out of...

“The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food and beer is good and great value. Parking is a bit tight, so arrive early if you are checking in! If you want to eat, make sure you reserve a table. We found out the hard way on Saturday lunchtime that you can't always get a meal, even if you are a resident. Other than that, it's a good place to stay. It's quiet at night due to the location and the fact that the bar isn't open until late.”

“Terrible experience. The property owner was extremely rude. I booked a room for my husband, baby, and I. I followed up via email to confirm how many of us would be expected and asked if they had a cot we could use. They responded positively confirming they would have the cot in our room waiting for us.
