2nd time staying here. All great!

Second time staying here and it's been great place to stay. Practical for work , near the ferry to Troia and overall comfortable and well located. Near a lot of options to eat and for leisure.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Location is central to shopping and close to the boardwalk by the ocean. One suggestion: please install a couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang up the bathrobe and towel. I enjoyed this quiet little town, Setubal, which I discovered for the first time. Thank you Rio Art staff for making my stay so enjoyable.

Excellent stay

This place did not disappoint. From check in, with a lovely welcome drink and a very knowledgeable staffer, to check out. Our room was larger than expected and it was cooler than expected so the extra blanket was a nice touch. The morning breakfast had a nice variety of offerings and coffee could be consumed at breakfast or with an in room machine. The front staff were always welcoming and suggested several places to eat and visit that did not miss. The location is great - provides the ability to walk along the water, easily visit the market or historical area, or walk up to Bonfim Park.

We loved everything about this hotel from the friendly greetings at the front desk and the lovely rooms overlooking the tree lined promenade to the delicious breakfasts each morning. This hotel is perfectly located to walk to the charming center of town, along the harbor and beaches and to catch the ferry to the white sand beaches of Tróia. All staff from the cleaners to the front desk were very friendly and did and excellent job of welcoming us! Anna at the front desk is a Setubal treasure. With her warm personality, she shared a wealth of knowledge and great suggestions about Setubal, her home town, and the local area. We would never have known to visit the former military 7ª Bataria de costa with its spectacular views of Setubal and the Tróia Peninsula. She also gave us great recommendations of things to do and see in other cities in Portugal. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back!

The staff at the reception were so helpful and friendly. We felt very appreciated. The room was very nice and clean. The included breakfast was excellent. We also received and huge thank you for being a Expedia VIP customer and received a nice and tasty bubbly (picture included). We really recommend this very nice hotel to anyone that wants great hospitality and personal experience. The staff are absolutely fantastic. We will be coming back again for sure.

Het was even puzzelen tussen ons en het hotel maar na een valse start hebben we er alles aan gedaan om het mij en mijn zoon naar de zin te maken, waarvoor dank! Let er wel op dat het hotel geen lift heeft. Fijn centraal in Setubal gelegen, aan de rand van het centrum tegen de haven met de ferry naar Troia aan.

Great and convenient place to stay in Setubal. 40 mins by toll highway to Lisbon Airport! Located in the middle of the city and restaurants, shopping and sights are within walking distance. Very helpful staff! Room was spacious, modern and clean in a historical building. Breakfast was a good bonus. Recommend if you’re in the area or on your way back to Lisbon.

Our top choice when staying in Setubal.

Stayed in Setubal for the first 2 nights of our Portugal visit and Rio Art Hotel was one of 2 recommended to us by friends. The gentleman at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and accommodating, giving us great suggestions on things to visit, where to eat, and where to park for the best price. The included breakfast had a good variety of options. The location downtown was perfect for our needs.

There is no elevator but the staff did carry my suitcase to my room. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Good location near the water and old part of town. Coffee needed improvement. Nicely decorated and good bathroom
