The Pousada was a very interesting and historical building. We visited the churches near by but one the highlights was the amazing Museum right on sight. The staff recommended some interesting side trips which let us explore the area. Room was very comfortable and buffet breakfast was excellent.

Amazing stay, we had called ahead to confirm they had a functioning pool and A/C that actually worked, and when we arrived, they had gone to our room ahead of time to turn the A/C on to have it cool when we arrived. The employees were all so friendly, the pool area was fantastic and well kept, the room and views were unreal.

This is a special historic building that has been revived from ruins very sympathetically. Amazing location with panoramic views. The rooms were well appointed. Pool was not ready for the season but loved the uniqueness of the stay, 45 minutes from Lisbon city centre

Beautiful location, fair pricing

3rd visit to this lovely location, with the Hotel perched on the top of a hill overlooking spectacular views of rice fields. This is a very old building with a lovely history which is so evident everywhere on its grounds, in and outside of the building. The rooms are of a good size and the beds are very comfortable. Cleanliness is a priority as is staff friendliness. Overall, the experience is so positive and is a great get away or a stop on your journey through Portugal, at a very fair price.
