Pleasant stay close to Gangnam

Hotel staff was super professional and friendly during the whole stay. Room and the hotel was clean and modern and wifi worked well. Location is also perfect for travelers as Gangnam station is roughly 10 minute walk away and there are tons of restaurants close by.

Its a nice property and provides what I expect from any hotel. The lack of the VIP was disappointing but not a deal breaker. I did not book it based on that.

The silicone finishing on the bathtub was at a level that was difficult to understand, and the stains on the sofa seemed to require steam cleaning. It would be great if deodorizers used for clothing could be provided.

The hotel is pretty clean except for some molds on the ceiling in the bathroom, which is understandable given lack of vent in the room. Also, the room was warm and the thermostat did not work, but the staff had been nice enough to give me a fan to keep the room cool during my stay. The area is very convenient with multiple bus stops right around the corner. The hotel also has a small laundry room and fitness center for the customers. Overall, I would say the stay was pretty good.

The two gentlemen at the reception was very helpful to remove the plastic tangled and stuck into one of the four wheels of my suitcase as I was leaving. Thanks to them, it started to spin again and stopped making the high-pitch noise, which would have caught unwanted attention.

It has the advantage of being close to two stations, Yangjae Station and Gangnam Station, but otherwise, neither station is very close. Both are walkable in 15min walk. I stayed for 10 nights and there were no room upgrades or other benefits but I have no complaints. Breakfast does not have many fruit options. Staff were nice and rooms were clean and quiet.

Walkable to Gangnam station area when different breakfast options are easily available. Room is specious enough to fully open 2 medium size suitcases. However, given that this hotel hasn't opened for a long time, the room is slightly worn out. The design/choice of materials (type of tile used in the bathroom, thin wooden floor) make it looks dated. Bathroom has a bit of mold as well, and I am not sure if I like the idea of using disposable paper cup (drinking/teeth brushing) in an IHG hotel.
