Room was ideal for our 7 night stay and right in the heart of Insadong surrounded by food, drink, culture and shopping! This was one of the easiest and most friendly places I’ve stayed at and the check in/out process is super smooth. Will definitely recommend to anyone planning on a city break in Seoul.

I loved staying here. The check in and check out was very easy. There was always someone that you could call for any questions. I liked that you were able to do laundry at the hotel which was super helpful for me cause i was staying for longer than a few days. And the free ramen and water 24/7 was so nice. Overall amazing stay.

The hotel is near train and bus stations so location is convenient. This is also walking distance from palace and Bukchon Hanok village. Love that cold (and hot) drinking water is always available and you can help yourself with ramen if you do not feel like eating outside. I met someone who looks after the place and she is very friendly and helpful. Amenities are available and the room is clean so I highly recommend this place.

I had a wonderful stay at HOTEL JAK. The hospitality was truly exceptional and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything I needed. The location was also perfect, close to city attractions and easy to get around. I couldn’t be more pleased with my stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting.

Really enjoyed staying here and ended up extending for another night. For the price, this place is such a good deal. Free ramen, free coffee, free water, and everything feels super clean and new. Honestly hard to beat at this price point in Seoul. Check-in isn’t the most straightforward if you’re a foreigner, but there’s a help button and someone is always there to assist, so it wasn’t a big problem at all. Rooms are a bit small (pretty typical for Seoul), but totally fine for our stay. Location is great to, close to cultural spots and just a few minutes’ walk to the train station. Would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Seoul.

Thank you, Hotel JAK team. I had a pleasant stay there. The bedsheets and towels were clean, and the location is perfect. I felt at home and very warm there. There are many local restaurants nearby with delicious food, and it is also close to the train stations. The only small downside is that the shower water temperature sometimes becomes too hot or too cold. But for me, it was not a problem at all. However, for those who bring young kids, it might be better to check the water temperature before showering. I will stay at this hotel again when I visit Seoul. Thank you again ❤️

We stayed for 12 days in this hotel. The first thing you need to know before you book is that this is a SELF MANAGEMENT hotel, everything is automated, you do your own check-in using your passport at their computerised kiosk. No reception, no breakfast BUT plenty of character! we chose this hotel due to its location and because we didn't want the usual amenities of breakfast etc etc other hotels offer. The rooms are small and thats exactly what we needed. We didn't want big rooms, suites or other services as we went exploring all day. The owner is a very kind and friendly lady, we struck a good friendship and she was happy to have us stay for these days. If you want a small place, for exploring full days and just staying to sleep this is all you need. We were happy with our choice and the location central and close to bus and train station. Walking distance to Palaces, Myendong and other cultural activities.

Superb location for visiting royal palace and shopping for Korean style crafts in Insadong area. Facility is very clean and easy to navigate. If you enjoy Korean instant noodle, they have an unmanned noodle book with preprogrammed cooking machines. Staff were not onsite but always available via intercom if needed. I travelled alone so the small room I had did not feel small at all. I had a double bed with comfy bedding and pillows. The washroom is private and clean.

The location is excellent. Turn right when you step outside and you’ll find a unique street; turn left and there are plenty of Korean restaurants. It’s very close to Anguo Station—just a two-minute walk from Exit 6. It’s also close to many tourist attractions, all within a 15-minute walk. There are no public restrooms in the lobby, but there is luggage storage, as well as free instant noodles and coffee.

Amazing traditional stay in the beautiful alleys of Insa-dong. The hotel was beautifully presented and the self serve noodle breakfast was great. Maybe my mis-reading but may be worth mentioning that the standard rooms don’t have access to the steam/bath as in the pictures as I believe this is part of only the highest room type. Would recommend for an insadong stay and would definitely return!

Clean room and excellent location. Unmanned aspect can be convenient but also make communication more difficult. Requesting new towels/change of trash is a bit of a hassle, but check-in and check out are easy. Offering of free ramen and water is very nice to have. Great value.

안국역에서 걸어서 2분 거리이고 인사동 한가운데 있어서 위치가 정말 좋습니다. 경복궁, 익선동, 북촌 한옥마을도 다 걸어서 갈 수 있는 거리입니다. 숙소 바로 근처에 레스토랑과 갤러리들이 많아서 주변을 둘러보기에 편리합니다. 번화가 중심에 있지만 메인 거리에서 살짝 들어간 조용한 골목에 위치해 있어서 밤에는 소음 없이 조용하게 머물 수 있었습니다. 숙소에 작은 정원이 있었는데, 인사동 분위기와 잘 어우러져 툇마루에 앉아 차 한잔하기에 좋았습니다. 객실은 아담하지만 필요한 것이 다 갖춰져 있었습니다. 깨끗하게 관리되어 있고 침구가 매우 편안해서 숙면을 취하기에 좋았습니다
