The Sendai Metropolitan East is an excellent hotel I've stayed at numerous times and plan on staying there again. It is extremely convenient -- right at the main Sendai Japan Rail station -- but the hotel rooms are quiet (and very clean). There is also an excellent shopping area at the station as well as many excellent restaurants for all price ranges. The breakfast is reasonably priced and generally quite good but could use a wider selection of breads. All told, I give this hotel the highest recommendation.

We were so grateful that the hotel is situated right at the Sendai JR station with direct access. It was a rainy day and our original plan was unfortunately scraped. We were still able to enjoy many great food and shopping right there without getting soaked in the rain. Hotel was clean and well-equipped, particularly appreciated the free soft drinks at the lounge!

​An Exceptional 7-Night Stay – Spacious, Convenient, and Perfectly Located ​We recently spent 7 nights in a Premier Twin Room at the Hotel Metropolitan Sendai East, and it was a wonderful experience. At 40 square meters, the room was remarkably spacious with plenty of layout room, and the amenities provided were top-notch. ​As a JR hotel, the location couldn't be more convenient. Being directly connected to Sendai Station gave us seamless access to all JR lines and local transit, making daily sightseeing incredibly easy. ​The surrounding area is a shopper’s and foodie's paradise. With major malls like S-PAL, Parco, and Yodobashi right next door, alongside Sendai's famous covered shopping arcades just steps away, there is so much to see, do, and eat that you can easily fill your entire day right in the neighborhood. We highly recommend this hotel for an extended stay in Sendai!

The room was clean and comfortable. I really liked the Onsen that we were able to access directly from the property. I was really happy with the property, but it took pretty long time for check-in. I was guided to the self check in but it didn’t work and guided to the in person check in. A guest who was checking in front of us was taking long time so I had to wait. Also this was our first time to stay this hotel, and I was not sure how the Onsen ticket works, like if the ticket can be used for the checkout day. I needed to bring up the basic question that most guests might have. At the Onsen place, once we arrived the floor, the staff was just standing at the entrance and staring at us and we were a bit confused. So I needed to ask how it works. Then they answered. The both hotel and Onsen property were clean and very nice, but the customer service was a bit awkward.

Great location- embedded in Sendai station and within minute from shops and restaurants. Spacious and clean rooms, and helpful staff. Good amenities such as a lounge with free drinks, small gym, coin laundry. I would stay here again.
