Nice stopover option between Stavanger & Oslo

A classic old hotel, great front desk service, we had a pleasant stay easy to find, easy tio park, nice room, good dinner and nice breakfast.

Had a great dinner. Minimal dr. staff taking care of guests but managing exceptionally well. Room was comfortable, great towels in bathroom. One comment. Dining room was mostly set up with tables for more than 2 people but most guests were couples maybe offer more tables/2

The Seljord hotel is a charming well maintained hotel in Telemark County, Norway. Breakfasts were excellent - full hot breakfast buffet. Dinners have pizza and a very small selection of typical Norwegian dishes. Note that the hotel elevator only goes to the 2nd floor - if you get a 3rd floor room you will be hefting luggage up and down one set of stairs. Bar service is available from 3PM and prices are very reasonable (for Norway). Our 2nd floor room had a spacious balcony. As most hotels in Norway, air conditioning is accomplished by opening the windows.

Overnattet i 3. etasje. Heisen stoppet i etasjen under, trapp ok. Daglig leder bør ta en skikkelig sjekk på bygningsmessig vedlikehold, vinduene trenger maling og var trege å åpne og lukke. Ulike gardiner. Ikke rengjort mellom de koblete rutene i spisesalen. God frokost, da!

Dama som var i resepsjonen var blid og hyggelig når vi kom. Og vi var fornøyd med middagen. Frokosten var en skuffelse. Bare noen brødskalker for brødet måtte tines. Tomme for juice, bacon og egg. Og det var nesten med en gang frokosten startet. Flere måtte gå inn å si fra. De som jobbet på kjøkkenet fløy fram og tilbake i resepsjonen. Kanskje en ide å ha nok folk til å jobbe? Kaldt på rommet når vi kom. Lyset blinket hele tiden på hele hotellet.
