Friendly staff at check-in, great restaurant, clean rooms, beautiful scenery. Be aware there is a geothermal factory very close to the hotel and the pool is not as glamorous and large as it looks. There is nothing in the area but the hotel’s restaurant is very good, makes up for lack of dining options in the area. There is a hiking trail right behind the hotel.
The staff was so kind and helpful with my stay. Especially the kind lady who checked me in. The food at restaurant was very good. I appreciate the service of the aurora light wake up call.

Excellent hotel. Really enjoyed our stay there. Staff members were so friendly and helpful - we couldn't be happier.
Room was excellent, staff was great! We loved the location, geothermal pool and sauna, etc. couldn’t have been happier to spend 2 nights here at the End of our Iceland adventure!
One star for restaurant staff, which did good job during breakfast and dinner.
The hotel is outdated and pictures are a frame for a scam. The hotel reminds you of an old nature center / research facility, it is not a 4-Star Hotel and should not be marketed as one.
Love the location, but overall it doesn’t live up to the price. We ordered two lunchboxes to go for 9,000 ISK and got pre-cut cheese sandwiches and four huge apples for two people. It felt like a rip-off. Fish at dinner was great, but housebred was very dry. Also breakfast is not worth it.
Entire experience was fantastic, great food, wonderful staff, nice hot springs, remote location with fabulous scenery and hiking, yet not far from Reykjavik. There were many positives about this very special and unique place, will definitely return in the future if possible.
Beautiful location and comfortable hotel — great “lounging” outdoor hot tub, cocktail bar, and views from the room. The meals in the restaurant were fab.
