The location of Sedona Real is great, right near the main drag. Traffic noise wasn't bad and it got better when I closed the open windows (I found that two windows were not latched and were actually open 1/4 inch in our ground floor room). The room (single king sized bed) was nicely appointed, it was spacious enough, with expected amenities. Breakfasts were good. We never used the pool. Staff was very friendly. We opted for no room service while we were there.
What could have been better? Well, there's only one towel hook. If a room usually has more than one inhabitant at a time, having two or more hooks for towels would be great! The mini fridge made lots of weird noises, so we turned it off for 3 of the 4 days we were there. The bathroom is way too small and cramped--it seemed so 1980s. Like, the door swings within a few inches of the toilet bowl and the walk-in shower. A high-quality inn should have an attractive and spacious bathroom. And breakfasts--the main dish of the day always contained meat. Vegetarian options were not the main dish, they were sides. For a place as new-agey as Sedona, I was surprised that vegetarian options were not on par with the non-vegetarian options.
Would I stay there again. Yes. Would I try out another place to see if it was as worthy of my hard-earned dollars? Yes.
