We had a very comfortable stay in a twin room with a huge bathroom (no sea view). The room was clean and had everything we needed including a fan (although I had to clean it before use). The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The Boat House is nice and close to the beach and both Ryde and Seaview are walkable. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice.

We had a lovely stay at The Boathouse. We had a Seaview room and it was spotlessly clean. We had dinner and breakfast here and both was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Everything about our stay at the Boat House Hotel in Seaview was perfect. The room was lovely — spotless, comfortable, and full of character. You can tell a lot of care goes into keeping the hotel at such a high standard. The hospitality was second to none. The staff were genuinely warm, attentive, and couldn’t do enough for us. A special mention as my wife accidentally left her toiletry bag behind, and the hotel very kindly returned it to us in the post without any fuss at all — an incredibly thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. We wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend this hotel. Brilliant place, brilliant staff, and a truly faultless stay.

Great place for a calm seaside stay

Lovely property, fairly recently refurbished, right across the road from the beach. it’s located just between Ryde and Seaview, both of which are accessible via the coastal path. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated giving it a calm ambience. The bathroom has a shower and a bath. Breakfast was exceptional with great choices and really well cooked food.

Kind & helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Alex went above and beyond, and room was lovely decor and very clean and my breakfast was excellent, sadly i couldnt finish it as i felt unwell, but absolutly great breakfast, The whole team are amazing here, im sure i will be back.

Ideal for the vegan traveller

Was over there for the Ryde 10 race. 15 min walk along the beach to town, lovely sea views and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Esp. as 2 of our party were vegans. Vegan breakfast was on the menu and the chef specially prepared an evening mean, so excellent service.

The windows were thick with grey stuff, which I assume to be mould. there was no expelair in the bathroom and you couldn't open the window. The double room was cramped - narrow space up the side of the bed and no bedside tables. There was a rude sign outside the breakfast area: No (double underlined) admission before 8.30. On our first day the door to this was locked because the chef was late. On the good side, the owners have made an effort with some of the decor and also with producing good food. At breakfast, however there are only coffee bags and the breakfast table had 4 croissants (for 4 double rooms). The chef did not offer bread or toast, but brought it if asked.

A cosy sea front hotel above a pub. Room 404 had superb bay window for admiring the view of the beach and sea across to The Spinaker Tower. The room is bright ,warm plenty of lights, mirrors and storage. A few things are a bit tired, curtains don't close properly, chest of drawers damaged and sink worn but comfortable bed and efficient shower over bath .Friendly staff and guest entrance when staff not on duty. Good value .

Tired and in need of a refresh

Lovely location and our third stay. First stay was 2015 and the rooms had been renewed and were lovely. Again visited 2017. Our room had a lovely bay window over looking the Solent but fair to say the furniture was worse for west and in need of replacement with burn marks and splits on surfaces. Curtain rails bizarrely didn’t pull across full window so we had to improvise. Bathroom was tired at best - sink badly cracked and toilet on need of a good bleach and bathroom corners etc in need of a clean from cobwebs and dust. Breakfast on first day - Sunday was excellent - truely great food - different chef day 2 not so good but back to excellent standards the following day. However tables were all sticky - each day - with cutlery and plates needing a good pull from the table top. In summary we love the location - with good walks in each direction - great sea views from room but the standard has fallen and whole place in need of refresh. Patio area outside also needs a spruce including simply sweeping away winter leaves and a clean.

Amazing all the staff was no problem at all for anything and Dean and Bea were very friendly and ensured we had all we wanted during our xmas break. Will defo be back and recommend to family and friends. Rooms cold but we was looked after with heating timings re set and a portable rad, perfect ams room clean prefect view did a xmas getaway thanks a lot for making our stay special

Unfortunately it was a disappointing stay. Nothing wrong with the room, the service let it down. In the evening I stood at the bar nearly half an hour waiting to order food, only one person serving and I couldn’t blame her she was trying. So I went elsewhere. Twice I asked about the time breakfast started and both times I was told 8.00. At 8.15 in the morning the door to the restaurant was still locked, so I just left as I had a job to get to. I won’t be staying here again.
