Nice place. Good value
An Okay place to stop for the night. Pub opposite does great pub food
Lovely clean and comfortable room. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff member. Well equipped with plenty of power points and extras for a pleasant stay. Would happily book again.
As i was a solo traveller i had the room for one night only ,very tidy ,very friendly and really clean i would go back again the overall experience was perfect.
A second comfortable stay here with friendly owners/staff. They don't serve food but were happy to refer me to a competitor across the street, where the food was great.
Situated in the centre of a small village with narrow streets so parking is just around the corner. The car park provided gratis by the village but donations for upkeep are welcome.
Sufficient space and clean room, especially for the price. Good value for money

Easy to find, free parking 200 yards away. The rooms are functional but very clean. During the week (when i stayed) it was very quiet. An excellent shower with plenty of hot water. All round a very good place at a very good price.
Good, honest, clean pub/inn style accommodation. Clean room and toilet, comfortable bed, discrete decoration, with choice hot drinks and toiletries included. Great food at Lamb and Lion over the road (tasty and generous), or Wild Olive restaurant. I worked nights, place was very quiet and restful. Residents have a separate entrance to pub.
Well where do I start. We loved this place. Good atmosphere. Friendly people and staf. Rachel the lass on the bar was so helpful and went out her way to help us, she deserves a medal for the way she looked after us so I hope her boss and Rachel see this. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be coming back. Thank you for your hospitality. We stayed in room 7 on 4/11/23 for 1 night
The doors operate on a keycode system so it's very much an air bnb set up rather than a staffed pub. There are very few instructions of where to go or what to do.
The room was quite dirty - thick gunk in the shower, a pube, hairs on the bedding and a stained bed base.
The room was also absolutely freezing after the radiators switched off at 10pm. I woke up at 2am cold and slept in my hat. There were no additional blankets, no electric radiator, loads of condesation and damp on the inside of the windows.

The Globe Hotel
Great location, good value for money, staff friendly.
Booked 3 nights but left after 2, the room was absolutely disgusting, the walls were damp, a pipe was leaking. The room hadnt been cleaned, no staff turned up as i believe the pub downstairs and the accommodation are now seperate
A Dog Friendly Traditional Inn. Communication with the team was excellent and Jamie the receptionist was expecting our arrival. An excellent rate for the room, which was exceedingly cheaper than the hotel across the road.
Rooms were cosy but not to small, ensuite with a coffee/tea facilities and spotlessly clean. If your travelling the UK and want a traditional pub/hotel with genuine staff who are working hard to keep the business viable go stay here and you will not be disappointed.
Alternatively if you want a brand hotel, with fitness facilities. a hot tube, jacuzzi etc etc and are willing to pay £150 a night rather than the £43 I spent, change your settings to reflect this, sadly though you will miss out on a unique stay in this friendly, hospitable pub/inn
Stayed for two nights to climb Scafell. The room was comfortable, a little hot but a fan was provided and the weather was unusually hot at the time. Tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits and water supplied. Shower worked well with shower gel provided and plenty of towels. WiFi worked well. No food available at The Globe but there are a couple of other pubs and a restaurant doing food. Free public car park available 2 minutes walk away. There is no reception, just head to the bar. Check in was quick. Great for a no frills stay.

On Arrival we was told that no rooms were booked as Hotels.com hadn’t sent the booking details. We had paid in full upfront and had to find another hotel
After numerous phone calls and emails I was told I would not be getting a refund.
This in my eyes amounts to theft
Don’t use Hotels.com to book
Upon arrival there was nothing friendly about the welcome, unlike 9 months previouly.
The room was fine but that was as far as it went.
Once settled, went to the bar for a drink. Had to wait 10 minutes to be served after being ignored by barstaff.
Couple of days in, decided to give them another chance, atmosphere was still unwelcoming.
Alot of work still needs to be done, ie, staff need to be trained to clean lines and need to be trained in hospitality.
At night no staff are onsite.
The Globe Inn could be as good as the Lion and Lamb (opposite) if the right people were to run it and if the company put some money into it.
Will be staying at the Lion and Lamb from now on as they knew how to greet and keep customers and patrons alike.

Only downside was an extractor unit which ran round the clock. A bit like sleeping on a ship or aircraft, you quickly got used to it. I’ve booked another stay, so it hasn’t put me off.

Dormimos muy bien, la cama es grande y cómoda. La limpieza es mejorable.
The front of house service was terrible. The rooms weren't ready and although we were told to come back in 20mins it took over 2 hours which is not what you want after a 5 hour journey!
The pub was very tired looking and had a musty smell.
The room was small which was fine however there was no toiletries, no milk, one coffee sachet etc. More arrived on the second night but i was promised another bottle of water which didnt materialise.
The room needed a redecoration. The bathroom was clean but was in dire need of a lick of paint and general repairs.
The worst part was the noise! An extractor fan or air con unit is right outside the window and didnt stop all night. It was incredibly loud, especially during the early hours when trying to get to sleep.
I definitely wouldnt stay there again and neither would i reccomend it.
The only saving grace was the free car park in the village and another pub to eat and drink at.

All good, apart from the pub being closed during our stay.
