Vacations Close To Sea Ice Exhibition Centre

The location of the hotel was great, a good balance between getting downtown and getting out to the natural sites. About a 10-15 min drive to downtown and 5 minutes to get onto the highway out of town. Breakfast was included which is awesome considering the cost of everything in Iceland, it had more then enough options to keep everyone happy including my picky kids. The place is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. You are super close to anything you might need. I would recommend this to anyone. My one regret is not trying their robot coffee machine in the lobby.....perhaps next time.

This was just an average stay, for a fairly high cost. To be clear, we were in one of the 3-bedroom apartments, so it was not in the main hotel (although I think most of the hotel is spread out over various buildings). The check in was not as smooth as we would have hoped--there was a long line of people checking in and only one person to assist. That one person was very friendly and helpful, it was just too much for one person. The apartment itself was just ok. It was an odd layout and one of the rooms (the living room) seemed like a college dorm, it was so lacking in furniture or anything to make it welcoming. Also, one of the windows was not properly functioning in the bedroom overlooking the street. The staff was responsive to our requests. The apartment was just ok. Overall, I would say this stay was average and not at all worthy of the price tag.

It was nice to not have to really check in. You just get an email with the key code and you go on in to your room. Super smooth. And the location, parking, quality of room were unbeatable for the price. The little kitchenette was also very well appointed with dished, cutlery, larger trash cans, a cook top, and dishwasher. I wish there were more hotels like this around.

Great location. However, the property specifically told me it would have a washer and dryer but it didn’t. As a consolation they offered ONE free load per day with the concierge, which is not the same situation if I had a machine in my apartment. Friendly staff.

The location was good, but the noice level was too high outside and using the ear plugs didn’t help. We were there for 4 nights and on the second day we ran out of body soap, shampoo and conditioner. I told the property management of the situation. I was told to go get whatever we needed from the storage room. When we went to the storage room they didn’t have what we needed. So I wrote back stating that they don’t have it and I didn’t get any response back. So I used the little body soap I had bought from back home but it was not enough for the four of us. I was really upset that after paying so much money they couldn’t provide us for the basics.
