It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Rooms are small but we didn't expect anything fancy. My discomfort was the front desk. When I called days earlier and said we were going to a wedding, would it be possible for an early check in, if the room was ready? I was told we could check in at 1 or 2pm for a $35 fee. I declined. Traffic was light and wound up arriving at 2:30. The desk clerk was not very welcoming. I asked if we needed to leave for half an hour. He said, very condescendingly, that he'd allow me a complimentary early check in. I've worked as a concierge at an historic Inn for 17 years and we never charged for early check ins. I've been to large hotels who never charged for early check ins, if the rooms were ready. The motel was not full by the way. As a beach hotel I imagine most guests aren't there for events but attitude goes a long way in guest services. He also never bothered to tell me that there was coffee and breakfast snacks set up and we didn't find that our until we checked out. Next time we are in the area for family visits we won't stay there.

Excellent and coziest lodge.

This family owned lodge had everything you need to be comfortable with your family in a very clean, cozy and quiet location. The owners were very quick to help us with an issue we had and were super accommodating. I will be staying here again in future trips! Highly recommend this place!

It is in a great location, rooms are small but they’re great if it’s just a place to sleep. Beds are comfy and clean. Bathrooms are on the smaller side and could use some updates but overall well kept! Will be staying here again!

We had a great stay at Sea Girt Lodge! Very clean, nice staff and close to everything we needed! Our room was very cold, but the staff did try to fix the temperature and offer a heater to counteract the chill, but everything else about our stay was great!
