Lovely place to stay

Great place to stay, well maintained, fantastic breakfast with a warm welcoming friendly environment. Just a short walk to the beach and town centre. Really enjoyed our stay and we couldn't ask for a more. Highly recommend to stay here.

Fabulous b&b, host was very accommodating and friendly. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Rooms had everything you needed and plug sockets near mirrors! Breakfast was amazing.

Delightful hotel.

Lovely hotel,spotless, lovely decor throughout. Breakfast was delicious everything well cooked and hot. Tina the landlady was absolutely delightful, friendly,helpful nothing to much trouble would definitely stay here again.

Another great stay. The single room is very spacious, modern and clean. Breakfast is fantastic and Tina is an amazing host. Looking forward to returning next year for my third visit.

We had a fabulous stay here. The property is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Our room was a good size with a nice, spacious bathroom and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, good choices and quality. Tina was the icing on the cake, a great host, friendly, warm and welcoming. I'd definitely recommend a stay at Powys Lodge and we hope to return before long.

By far the best small hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Immaculately presented, spotlessly clean, and nothing too much trouble. A real home from home, and we are already planning our next stay!

Lovely weekend in sunny Scarborough

Lovely welcome from Tina who was very helpful throughout. Room was small but beautifully formed. Breakfast fantastic. Under fifteen minutes walk into town or onto the beach; lovely gardens to visit nearby. My first visit to Scarborough and I will be back; back to Powys Lodge too.

The atmosphere felt like home. Tina was warm, welcoming to everyone and ensured our stay was comfortable. The room was a bit small, and on the top level (all stairs), but it was comfortable and clean. The beds were very cosy. Closing the window shut out the noisy seagulls. The appliances worked as expected. We had to figure out how to turn on the shower. A small fridge and a microwave oven would have been perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

Great holiday break

From the moment we arrived Tina the owner made us very welcome, she was friendly bubberley ensuring everything was ok, our room was very clean, extra bedding if required even a extra heater if you wanted it, breakfast was great arriving nice and hot, with a grest choice, no complaints, Tina was very compassionate after my wife tripped and broke a bone in her wrist when out and about, so will definitely making a return visit .

Scarborough holiday

Two adults and a child in a triple room. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast in the morning was nice, good choice too. Everything we need for our stay. I would recommend this b&b. The lady that ran it was very pleasant indeed. She took good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed

Lovely 3 night stay, will be returning in future.

In Scarborough for the cricket so stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our twin room had an en suite and the room was well provisioned with drink making equipment and supplies. The breakfasts were great and our host Tina was very attentive to all our needs. The hotel is a ten minute walk from town and five minutes from the south bay heights from where you can walk down through the greenery to the beach or town. We visit Scarborough at least once a year and this will be our first choice going forwards

We stayed here to go to a concert, we were able to walk to the north side of Scarborough, however it was a good 30 minutes for us, so maybe a car or taxi ride for anyone who cannot walk too far. The hotel was small but our room was fine for us, the bathroom was quite small and would be a challenge for the larger person, or someone tall. Our check in and out was fine and breakfast was lovely, cooked to order by the filling in of a slip the night before. The room was nice and clean, TV a decent size and a tea and coffee tray on the dressing table, all good. I would recommend and be happy to stay again.
