Great location for the price. It is in the heart of historic downtown, is it not quiet. The staff was absolutely amazing, especially Lisa at the front desk. The breakfast was great. The cleanliness isn’t the best, we had a few things that the cleaning service missed in our hotel room when we checked in, nothing making a big deal about though.

Hotel is well maintained. I’m super finicky about cleanliness and felt comfortable staying here. Lots of vehicle traffic noise at night since it’s on a busy road. Breakfast was basic and satisfying. Held us over for a few hours.

The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful. When Lisa heard we were heading out for a tour, she offered to find us a ride so we wouldn’t have to worry about parking. Our room was spotless. It’s an older property but they have tried to update it where they can. You’re right next to River Street and on Bay Street, so you can walk everywhere. You can’t beat the location and the price. Mom loved the breakfast. It’s not fancy but it’s everything you need. We would stay here again.

It’s proximity to River Street is perfect. The parking however, at the best Western is extremely expensive at $38US a day or $53 CAD. I chose to go to public parking at liberty parking garage.

Conveniently closed or walking distance to restaurants and riverside view. Bathroom was clean, only 2 towels in room for 4 people but that was not an issue we just ask front desk and got 2 more. Room carpet has some stains and breakfast was really good. Overall good.

The one thing that I would change is the lack of laundry facilities. I'm sure that the pool, which was empty due to a lot of heavy rain while we were there, normally gets a lot of use most of the year due it's location in the south. However, the gym probably seldom gets any use by guests since that's normal at hotels, especially those aimed at tourists. I think that I would make the gym a laundry room so nobody is packing dirty laundry home. The breakfast is good and a very social environment among the guests. The area is very pedestrian-friendly.

Clean room, good staff, and a good room. However, the $38 a day parking fee was a surprise. And in my opinion deceptive. Add the fee to the room charge......don't put it down in the fine print. The room rates actually are approximately $40 more a night....customers need to know this.
