The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. We had a nice breakfast. And they aren't kidding when they say "lock view"! It is an easy walk across the street to the visitor center where you can watch ships, some very large, passing through the locks. I would definitely stay here again.

I could tell that the owners care about the property! The room was renovated with comfortable beds and well-maintained grounds. Breakfast items were abundant and diverse, the best complimentary breakfast that I've had in a long time! Would definitely stay again, what a great deal!

I have stayed here quite a few times. Walking to stores and restaurants and the Soo locks right across the street. Like the smaller motel feel. The only thing I did not like was the weather got hold and the heater in my room only had cool air not warm. I had the same thing last year. But I will be back again for sure!!

Great location in historic downtown Sault Ste. Marie. Motel has been reasonably modernized and updated. However, the bedding was worn and uncomfortable. The pillows were long past their prime and very uncomfortable. No blanket on the bed--just a thin worn bedspread and an old discolored bedsheet. The mattress was hard and uncomfortable. The portable room air conditioner is installed above the bed in a hole in the wall which was not well-sealed. Cold air from outside blew down onto the bed all night. I had to put a sweatshirt on to stay warm as a result of the drafts and lack of a blanket.
