Parking was right out the front of the hotel. It was free of charge to park from 7pm till 9am the next day. Main pedestrian mall and restaurants a short 10 walk. Excellent patisserie for breakfast or coffee across the road from hotel.

A relatively close walk from the train station (down hill) and only 350mtrs from the medieval centre. Lovely hotel recently refurbished with small fridge and bottled water provided. Breakfast is available for a fee (we didn’t have time). Would definately stay again as a lovely scenic town near the prehistoric cave paintings

Well maintained building and clean. The staff were excellent. If you don't have a vehicle and traveling by train, be sure to have everything prearranged. We ended up having to walk from the train station to the hotel.

Hotel is in an excellent location with paid parking directly outside. The rooms were clean, fairly well equipped, and looked to have been recently renovated. Bedding and pillows were comfortable, although not luxury. Everything is within easy walking distance. There is a very basic bar on site, although it was fairly quiet during our stay, possibly due to travelling in shoulder season. Staff were friendly and courteous, even advising us that the nearby public car park would be free overnight on Sunday rather than paying for hotel parking, which was appreciated. Overall, very good value for money and a pleasant stay.

Staff is very friendly and location is great. However, that’s pretty much all the good things I have to say. No one cleaned our room our entire stay even with the room clean sign on the door. No refills of coffee or tea. No change of towels. Our garbage was full. To get to the room there are stairs within the hallways even after you use the elevator to get your bags to your floor. I would recommend telling the hotel if you have mobility issues before arriving so they can get you a room closest to the elevator. The beds are really hard. The parking lot out front is a disaster: very busy and you can only drive one way so if you cannot find a spot you have to drive around the city to get back (which is not their fault. They do not own this lot). But if you want to pay for hotel parking 7.50/day it’s a long walk away and a very tight space to park. There is no loading zone out front. We did not have breakfast in the hotel. Go to Lissajoux across the street for good coffee and pastries.

L'hôtel Montaigne est idéalement situé pour accéder au couer de la ville de Sarlat-la-Canéda. Nous avons pu garer notre voiture sur le parking payant juste en face de l'établissement, et avons pu nous balader en ville à partir de là. Les chambres sont confortables, la salle de bain était neuve et particulièrement propre. Le personnel est très accueillant. Je vous recommande cet hôtel pour son emplacement.

L’endroit est magnifique: boiseries, décor, meubles, tant dans les chambres que dans les espaces communs. Tout est propre et bien entretenu. Le personnel est formidable, notamment dans la salle à manger, où l’on nous a aménagé un impressionnant dîner avec accord mets-vins. C’est à regret que nous ne pouvions pas prolonger notre séjour!
