Everything was perfect about this property. I booked last minute after a terrible experience at another hotel. Hotel Sana exceeded on many levels. Excellent location, clean, friendly and very nice room. If I return to Sarajevo I would only book there.

Our 2 bedroom apartment in this hotel was uncomfortable due to the very hot temperature. A failed A/C unit which couldn’t be repaired it seemed. We were just so hot. The only solution suggested by one staff member was to open the windows for a little ventilation but the room opened onto the main street with vehicles and trams travelling on that noisy road. It was still warm and the underground heating in the bathroom made it worse. The noise was so intrusive. We just didn’t get any rest so wouldn’t recommend this space unless the issues get resolved. The hotel seemed decent enough. We were just unlucky with our room. The breakfast was also awful but the staff were nice.

Well designed and friendly

Sana is a very nice hotel tucked just above the Old Town in Sarajevo. It has a pleasant modern design that is a welcome juxtaposition to the maze of the market area. What's more, the reception and cleaning staff are attentive and friendly.

Hotel Sana is a lovely property in the heart of Sarajevo. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. They even covered the passenger side window when it was left open one night. The breakfast was extensive with many choices. This is an excellent place to stay in central Sarajevo.

The staff was great. One person gave me the scarf around her neck for 2 days so I could enter mosques! The room was very well appointed, even having robes and slippers, as well as shampoo, lotion, vanity kit, etc. The location right next to the old town was awesome.

Prime location

The hotel had a great breakfast setup. The room was nice & comfortable. Wished we stayed here during our entire stay. The hotel is prime location to all the great sites, bazaar, and restaurants. However, wished the shower drains were kept up more often. We had a late arrival check in & after a long day of travels, all I want is a shower but the shower drain did not drain & flooded the bathroom floor.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel! It's right in the middle of Sarajevo's historic old town, but tucked away enough that traffic noise isn't too much of a problem. When I walked in I told the lady at the desk, "I think I'm in the right place" and she said, "Yes you are, Erik." She already knew who I was. I asked about a cab to the airport for an early morning flight and she set up a ride with a member of the hotel's staff that was cheaper than a cab. (And she shared a bag of popcorn with me!) On the morning when I checked out, the hotel's internet was having problems and the worker couldn't run my credit card. So he took my information and turned on the coffee machine (four hours before they serve breakfast) so I could have a cappuccino while I waited for my ride to the airport. Amazing service! It's a boutique hotel with really nice, clean rooms. Mine had two skylights that could be shuttered remotely. The included breakfast was wonderful. You can walk from the hotel to all of the historic churches, mosques and museums. I recommend the cable car lifts up the mountain for incredible views. (Look for the abandoned bobsled tracks from the 1984 Winter Olympics.) When I think of Sarajevo, I only think about the wars in the 1990s but this city is so much more. The only possible negative is that the road outside the hotel is extremely busy and has very narrow sidewalks. And the motorists speed by. So be careful crossing the street.
My room, just before I left for the airport at 4 a.m. See the two skylights up top. This is room 405. Worth requesting.

Great location!

Almost everything about this hotel was great - service & staff, cleanliness, location, view from our room and the bed. There were only 2 annoying things in our room - the tv would turn on on its own so it came on one time during the night. The other thing was that the air con was very noisy and we couldn’t turn it off.
