Vacations Close To Sapanca Municipality Bicycle and Walking Path

The Amarda is a traditional hotel. I had a Junior Suite and it was great. The jewel in the crown has to be the rooftop terrace restaurant. The Blue Mosque forms a huge backdrop and it quite spectacular when it is lit up at night. The food was lovely. The hotel serves alcohol but as with all of Turkey, it is relatively expensive. The hotel is close to the water's edge and so that was nice too. The hotel is quite, but close to the main road and so taxi's are easy to get. It is about a fifteen minute stroll up a gentle incline to get to Sultanhamet Square, where most of the tours set off from. The benefit, I suppose, is that it is a fifteen minute downhill stroll when you are tired, at the end of the day.

The Demiray delivers! Whatever their marketing says is correct. Location downtown (walking distance to the metro and most major attractions); views from the terrace are stunning. Staff were very helpful. Transfers were requested and provided. Breakfast was included in our rate, and the breakfast buffet over 9 days had variety every day. Personnel are courteous, knowledgeable about city life, speaking English. The Demiray delivers. I would recommend this establishment for your 5-star stay!

Our stay at AJWA Sultanahmet was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the sheer beauty of the hotel. The attention to detail in the design is stunning—from the intricate hand-carved mother-of-pearl woodwork to the exquisite artwork, every corner feels like a luxurious, serene palace. What truly sets AJWA apart, however, is the exceptional team. The staff are so kind, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, ensuring every aspect of our visit was comfortable and seamless.

The room was clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast was tasty and varied. The hotel is a little away from the main area, but still conveniently located near a tram stop (Tram 1). Unfortunately, there were two things I wasn’t happy with. First, our room had very limited natural daylight because it faced a backyard with a dark artificial wall just a few metres away. Second, the twin beds were too narrow for my comfort.
