Great spot for visiting Madeira, lovely and tucked away in the mountains with local shops and restaurants near by. Funchal only 28 mins car journey away. Room was super clean, air conditioned, great bathroom, fridge, owner was always on hand to help if any issues.

This is a great hostel type lodge with separate individual rooms. Our room was a perfect size & there’s a large well stocked shared kitchen that was great. There is dedicated parking with a gate & it’s close to town with all the amenities. The lodge is super clean it’s just other guests who don’t clean up after themselves or read the signs to do so. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean and spacious bathroom/bedroom. Didn't use, but excellent kitchen amenities including everything that you'd need to cook a meal. Parking for every apartment (shared, not numbered. The only little minus can be if you return late in the evening, it can be a bit difficult to squeeze in, so take your time)

We had a wonderful stay at this little hotel. The location is wonderful! The gas station is less than 5 minutes away, and a large grocery store (Continente) is about 10 minutes away. São Vicente is in the middle of the island, so you are right in the middle of all the hikes and viewpoints, and very close to Seixal Beach. Room #1 is the closest room to the kitchen, so it can sometimes be a little noisy when other guests are using the kitchen. Overall, though, it is very quiet and very clean. Always had hot water. We asked the owner for some extra towels for the beach, and he showed up with towels in less than an hour, which was greatly appreciated. The only thing I would point out is that we stayed for 6 nights, and the floor in our room was not vacuumed during the week. We were hiking a lot, so sometimes we would come back with dirty shoes. I ended up cleaning the floor in the room myself. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!

We had a great stay at North View Guesthouse. The room was very clean and we really appreciated the cookies, the small coffee machine and the coffee capsules. The location was perfect for us - quiet, with very little traffic, which made it very relaxing. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

Easy check in system, though, if you're not yet comfortable starting your car off uphill, just turn it further up the hill before parking opposite the gate where you get your keys from the box. Overall spotlessly clean, the communal kitchen is well equipped, the host is friendly and replies in no time. The location lies ideally for any adventure.
