We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome with their professional and friendly service. Every interaction, from check-in to check-out, was handled with care and attention to detail. The restaurant was a true highlight – delicious food, beautifully presented, and a great selection that satisfied every taste. Breakfast and lunch were all exceptional, and the atmosphere in the dining area felt both elegant and relaxed. Our room was modern, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The design combines luxury with practicality, and we appreciated all the thoughtful details. Everything was spotless thanks to the housekeeping team, who maintained a very high standard throughout our stay. This is a beautiful little hotel with a stunning view of the caldera from the infinity pool. It is exceptionally clean, with modern and spacious rooms. The staff very all very friendly and accommodating and had an excellent attention to detail. They included many extras to make our stay special.

HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous boutique hotel. Akra has the kindest and most helpful staff, the most unbelievably stunning views as well as being an all round flawless looking hotel. Very clean, beautiful pool, cannot recommend enough. The Gyros platter from the restaurant was the nicest thing we ate all trip!

We really enjoyed our stay at Akra. We were there during a quiet time of year and the resort actually closed for the season after our last night there. Beautiful property and can’t say enough good things about the customer service we received during our stay. Delicious food and you can’t beat the views from the balcony of the honeymoon suite.

We loved our stay at Akra suits. It was in a very convenient location short walk to fira. Clean and comfortable bed. Great view to wake up too. Great use of pool and our private hot tub. Lovely staff especially Terry who took care of all our needs and wants. Highly recommend

Beautiful Caldera adjacent Hotel.

Wonderful pool, perfectly situated between the bustle of Thera and the path of Oia. Restaraunt for all price ranges nearby and even on site. Beautiful breakfast with Calder views. We had pool in room which was great but would probably recommend the outdoor pool. Great service with attentive responses to all requests. Everything seems brand new and would recommend the Spa and Wine cave experience.

This hotel was paradise for us. The staff is very friendly and helpful since before you arrive to the hotel. Staff members such Gorgia, Kiki, Eri, George, and Grenti make us feel very confortable (apologies for misspelling their names). Something to highlight is that the pools in this hotel do not expose you to other visitors of the island that pass by. We liked that a lot.

I booked the honeymoon suite and I think I got the best room on the property, if not the town. I visited Fira and Oia, but wow I am so glad to have chosen Imerovigli. It is more serene and quiet. Our tour guide called it the village of the honeymooners. The hotel is right off of the famous walking path, on the higher side. The private balcony and jacuzzi has a perfect unobstructed view of the sunset that beat the overcrowded square of Oia. What an amazing property.

The hotel Is actually better than the pictures and descriptions tell on the website. Our expectations, especially the concierge and front desk service were all exceeded. The ladies that work at the front desk went above and beyond to satisfy all our needs. That includes reservations, recommendations for restaurants and trips and more. They recommended for example the catamaran trip around the beaches on the island and that was the highlight of our trip, completly unexpected and amazing.

Disappointing Stay – Not professional at all

We were really looking forward to our stay here, but unfortunately, this hotel fell short in several key areas. First and most surprising: the in-room hot tub was not heated. We were told this was due to high electricity costs and that the hotel had made a decision to cut power to all hot tubs. So despite paying for a room with this feature, it was completely unusable in May—the water was far too cold. Second, while we booked a room advertised with a Caldera view, what we actually got was a view of the hotel pool. All the rooms seem to face inward toward the pool area, not the open sea. This was quite misleading, especially when you’re expecting the iconic Santorini experience. Third, the hotel’s handling of our concerns was poor. Each time we brought up the issues, we were told to speak with the “manager” in the morning, but no manager ever appeared during the entire three-night stay. We felt completely brushed off and stuck in a room that lacked both privacy and comfort. Lastly, for those coming to Imerovigli to enjoy the famous sunsets: this hotel is not in the right location for that. It’s on the side of town where the sunset is obscured. If a sunset view matters to you (and in Santorini, it usually does), you’d be much better off staying at a hotel on the other side of Imerovigli with a direct line of sight to Oia and the sea. There are so many beautiful, better-located hotels in the area—do yourself a favor and choose one of those instead.

Akra was a great location! Easy to get to from where the taxi drops you off. There's lots of steps in Santorini so I was prepared for the worst carrying the luggage but it was easy. Breakfast was very good. A mix of everything, great coffee. The gentleman helping with breakfast were so kind and helpful. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are very nice. We booked a deluxe suite because we wanted the plunge pool and view. The plunge pool was cold, we only used once. And the pool was right at our doorsteps with a lounge chair and table. We used the pool when it was hot out. The only downside is the public walkway outside, non guests would stop to enter to take pictures. I understand the view with the pool is killer, but some people are just ignorant. This is not the staff or hotels fault. I would highly recommend staying at Akra. I did a lot of research and honestly could not make up my mind and then settled on this hotel with no regrets. Walk down the street and Rent an ATV to drive around and explore the island. You can drive easily to Oia day or night. So much cheaper than a taxi. You need good runners for Santorini. So much walking and steps, but good exercise and we were good with that.
