I should’ve known before I even finalized the booking that this would be a disaster. I incurred $60 worth of cancellation fees from Expedia because the host didn’t block out unavailable dates and ended up cancelling my reservation twice. Not sure if the host or Expedia was to blame but I was down $60 before even finalizing the booking. Fast forward to my actual stay. Easily and undoubtedly the worst place I have ever stayed in my life! It’s a shame because the place has potential. Yes, it is a penthouse unit with a pool table and jacuzzi. The problem is everything in this unit is run down, beaten up, and not well kept! Day 1, I checked in at approximately 4:30pm, more than an hour after the allowed check-in, only to walk into 3 ladies sitting on the filthy couch in the living room conversating. Turns out, they were the cleaning crew which was a complete head scratcher because the place looked, smelled, and felt dirty! The sofa had stains all over it to the point where I decided to put bed sheets on it so I could sit down. The jacuzzi looked like it has never been cleaned right along with the rest of house. It was the most disgusting jacuzzi I have ever seen and ultimately I did not get in it even though the jacuzzi was why I booked that place. The toilet in the master bathroom would not flush day 1. The host promised to come back and fix it, but he never did! Feces sat in the toilet my whole stay! There is no hot water! This place should not be listed until repairs are done!
