I like quiet places. So this hotel fitted my style well, though I needed to put the AC off at night because I could not handle the degree of noise it makes. I know a local who helped me some errands I needed to do. So I cannot talk much about how accessible to services the hotel is. Overall I liked it there and I will likely go back though I like hotels on the malecón for the view they offer.

I choose the Marriott because of its reputation of high quality hospitality. When I entered the building, I felt welcomed and greeted with a smile. The facility was very clean and maintained well. I enjoyed the restaurant and menu options. The rooms were cozy and liked that there was an extra blanket. The location was perfect for me as I was there to relax and I didn't not want to be in the main area of Zona Colonial. It is about 10 to 15 minute drive, which was good enough for me. If I ever come back to Santo Domingo, I would chose this location again. Thank you for the excellent stay!
