Staff was great at check in!! Hotel is very nice and has that historic grand feel to it. Room was huge and had a very large balcony overlooking the pool. Easy to walk to the bus terminal and the stores and restaurants. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic!! Fresh juices, eggs, beef and a variety of breads and traditional Panamanian fare. Best hotel we have stayed at since traveling in Panama these past 5 weeks!! Highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again!!

Good for the price.

The pool was full of leaves and dirty, so we didn’t use it. Breakfast started late, so we didn’t go. Other than that, our one night stay was good. It’s a good price so you can overlook some of its faults. Bed is comfortable, bathroom is large, and the place is quiet.

Awesome Hotel, great amenities for the price. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming and accommodating. Definitely would stay again. Only thing i was not a fan of was the view from the room which was directly at a gas station but it was quite far away.

A little confusing where to park and check in. GPS took us to the back of the property and we walked through entire hotel, pool area, restaurant etc to get to the lobby to check in. The food was great, drinks were avg. staff were kind; most don’t speak English except in restaurant so that was easy. I loved the hammock on the patio. Pool was nice and clean. The property was very pretty and I felt safe.

The Hotel is dated but very Cha ming and unique. Most of the staff were extremely nice. Service was generally top notch. The property description on Expedia is very outdated though. There is NO sauna, only one restaurant/bar. Would definitely stay again

Excelent choice in Santiago

They gave us options to change our room at no extra cost since the room we choose is very close to the street, the lady at the front desk was very helpful. The room had a patio and a hammock in front of the pool. The restaurant is very good, the food was delicious. Breakfast was basic not lot of options but it was great. The hotel is close to restaurants and shops. The service was excellent, polite and friendly. Would come again.

Really large room with everything you may need (except, maybe a mini-bar, but this is not common in Panama: you can fill up the fridge by yourself that's much cheaper to. The small area around the pool looks pretty. Good breakfast but the restaurant was cold like inside a fridge - too much cooling with over 30 C. outside. Neither a nice not a short walk to town center but it seems there's nothing closer except for very few and basic hostel acomodation. But you can catch buses and taxis right in front of the hotel

We stopped for the night twice, on our way to and from Boqueta. The hotel is conveniently located next to a bus depot, so it was easy to get in and out. The rooms were clean enough, and the bed was comfortable. The first night was the best; on our second visit, we had trouble getting towels and water, and there was a very loud party, with DJ music, that went on until evening in the pool area. The pool is lovely, and we were disappointed not to have quiet use of it after a long day of travel. That being said, the hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. A special thanks to our evening waiter, David, whose conversation and patience with our poor Spanish made the stay most enjoyable.

So-so hotel.

Pros: Check-in was simple and quick. Our room was clean and beds were comfy. Cons: The pool was out of order however this was unknown to us until we actually made are way to the pool. Nothing was mentioned during check-in nor prior to our arrival. Breakfast was simple but tasty the only problem is that staff seemed disinterested in serving us. We were not offered water, asked how the food was, we got nothing. Part could be because our Spanish is not great but we do know enough to have a basic conversation. We noticed this with other gringos but the same treatment was not given to locals. Overall not a great hotel, next visit to Santiago I will try the Hotel Mykonos and give that a try.
