Staff were incredibly helpful prior to our arrival helping with taxi transfer. When we arrived they were great in taking our bags to our room, giving us all the information we needed about timings for breakfast and where we could get drinks. They gave us complimentary bottle of wine and a drink each night. Restaurant staff were delightful. Breakfast was served to us rather than a buffet which was a shame because felt there was some wasted food. Located in a very exciting part of town with lots of restaurants within a few minutes walk

This hotel surpassed our expectations in every category. The room was beautiful and spacious. The staff was polite, helpful, and knowledgeable about local restaurants and sights. Genuinely one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We’re already planning a return to Santiago next year, and will stay a the Castillo Rojo again. Wine in the courtyard every evening was a highlight, along with the excellent early breakfast. The neighborhood stays active late into the night, but it’s not disruptive to sleep and relaxation.

This is a gorgeous hotel with exceptional service. Our room was large and comfortable. The entire historic property has been lovingly restored and is beautifully maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included in the very reasonable room price and was delicious. They also generously give hotel guests a glass of wine each night. The location is a few minutes walk from the funicular, La Chascona (Pablo Neruda’s house), and many, many restaurants and bars. Other great sights are a short Uber ride away.
