The property is a 2 minute walk from the Cathedral of Santiago and is located on an old street which is full of character. The reception staff are extremely friendly and happy to advise us about the city, detailing a map for us and planning a short route on a camino so that we could get a feeling for the pilgrimage. Our room was very comfortable and well cleaned everyday by friendly staff. There was ample choice at the buffet breakfast and we were made to feel at home by the welcoming breakfast staff. We would recommend the Hotel Rua Villar as the place to stay in Santiago de Compostela and would definitely stay there on future visits to this wonderful city.

Hotel is located in an awesome spot. Close to many shops and restaurants and points of interest. We were able to walk to our parking garage from hotel with a large suitcase, backpack and tote. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is in a historic area of Santiago very close to the cathedral. It is within easy walking distance of cafes and shops. The building is historic and is not really suitable for a wheelchair user.
