Vacations Close To Santa's Village

Beautiful property, clean rooms, great amenities including lounge area, kitchenette with coffee and light snack. Location was only 15 minutes by car to downtown NOL, but cute area to walk to and enjoy the views. Would 10/10 recommend!

This is very comfortable hotel in a convenient location with helpful, well trained staff. There's no pool, but the gym is well equipped if a little of the small side (didn't matter when we're used it as it was quiet). The only negative was the buffet breakfast was a bit cramped and the choice a little limited (e.g. overly sweet Minute Maid juice rather than 'real' juice).

The atmosphere was very impersonal. Staff were not responsive or welcoming. Lobby was too dark and very loud. The room did not have good lighting. Room was clean. Great location for walking in the greater downtown area. Not clear that the $20 credit couldn’t be used for alcohol so we lost some of the credit. Doors that were supposed to be accessible only by key card after 8 pm were always open to the general public so safety was a big concern. Elevator use was not based on key card access. This would not be our first choice of hotels if we return to Toronto in the future.

My wife and I just returned home from a lovely 3-night stay at the Finlay House B & B. We stayed in the Bernard Shaw bedroom, which accurately matched the attractive on-line photos. The room was very clean and well maintained, with a very comfortable king-sized bed. Hot and tasty breakfasts were served promptly each morning at 9:00 a.m. Each meal was unique, well balanced, and prepared with a creative flare. Great location if you are attending the Shaw Festival or just want to shop on Queen Street. Thanks, Yvonne, for making our stay a the wonderful experience!
