What’s the difference between a 2 star or a 3 star hotel? For us this was 3 star. Clean and comfortable, nice bathroom. The hotel is connected to a very popular restaurant . The breakfast was served in the restaurant and there were a mix of hotel guests and locals. The location was in the pedestrian area. We thought this stay was good and good value for money.

Lovely stay in Hotel Picos de Europa. I arrived very early, hoping to leave my luggage and return later to check in. Instead, the reception checked for available rooms and I checked in right then. Room was comfortable with a complementary bottle of water. Good location for bus and train stations

This is a simple and charming hotel in a great neighbourhood, close but not in the centre of the city, very walkable and safe. My room was extremely clean, the bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed. The included breakfast was in the restaurant that is part of the hotel and it was great, with fresh squeezed orange juice, excellent coffee and I chose the Spanish tortilla every morning and it was one of the best tortillas I’ve had in Spain, in a very warm and friendly restaurant full of locals coming in for their breakfast. This is a great hotel if you’re not looking for a more expensive corporate style hotel and I highly recommend it.

Wie mehrfach beschrieben, ist das Hotel eine Kombination mit einem Restaurant. Der Eingang des Hotels liegt kurz vor dem Restaurant ( Hausnummer 15). Man muss durch einen kleinen Tunnel gehen ( ist mit einem H gekennzeichnet) und dan rechts ein paar Stufen zur Rezeption hochgehen. Das Frühstück wird in dem Restaurant in einem abgeteiltem Bereich mit Tischen, Stühlen und Bänken, eingenommen. Der Kellner kommt dann zu einem hin. Auswahl und Qualität des Frühstücks ist gut ( Tortilla-Omeletts mit Käse, Schinken , Thunfisch, Schinken- Baguettes, Kuchen, Teilchen, Orangensaft, Ananassaft, Wasser). Das Restaurant ( mit langer Theke) ist immer sehr gut besucht, was ein gutes Zeichen ist. Auch die Sandwiches und Hamburger sind sehr zu empfehlen. Gegenüber des Restaurants, auf der beginnenden Fußgängerzone, ist eine Außendepandance aufgebaut. Es gibt Nachlass, wenn man Gast des Hotels ist. Parken ist eine Katastrophe. Als wir da waren, waren viele Bauarbeiten in Gange. Wir haben in einer Nebenstraße oberhalb des Hotels einen kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz gefunden. Tipp: Wenn ihr ein Bußgeldticket bekommt, kann man bis zum Folgetag ( Uhrzeit auf dem Ticket beachten!) das Bußgeld gegen eine kleine Gebühr annullieren, indem man an der blauen Parkstation die Zahlen\Buchstaben- Kombination, die unten auf dem Ticket steht, eingibt. Eine großzügige Sache der Stadt! Es funktioniert !!!!
