The staff confirmed a pickup from the port 2 days prior but day of arrival, no pickup ever came. At check-in the desk clerk offered zero apology for the shuttle failure. Asked for a $2K peso deposit that was no where in the property instructions prior to booking. The room key was on a long wooden plank, its 2026, time to upgrade. The room aircon was small and didn't work great. The towels felt like sandpaper and the water smelt like sewage. The pillows were flat and hard like the mattress. The balcony view was good. The virw from the resto was great. Located close to many other restos and stores. The breakfast was 5/10. The pork belly for lunch was 10/10. The porkchop was 6/10. Lots of insects on the property ants, roaches, and flies. 0/10 recommend staying here.

Simply Wonderful

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon, and it was all around wonderful. The workers were attentive, helpful, and nice. It is right on Kota Beach and MJ square. The cocktails were amazing. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Marlins Resort!!

We had a beachfront room with balcony. Room is clean although the bathroom has sewer smell once in a while and some fixtures needs replacement as getting old and rusty. Staff is very friendly. Buffet breakfast is just ok. The location is close to many restaurants but still the area feels private and quiet. The beach is very nice and feels private.

I honestly wasn't expecting much from the property since it was still available while the other lodging places in the area were sold out. All I can say is that I am very impressed with everything, from service, to how everything looked, food was also great. They also offer pick up and drop off service which was a huge plus. I will come back and I highly recommend this place! 5/5!

The menu is limited- I stayed for 7nts, the breakfast menu did not change. I recommend variety on the menu. The ramp railing to go down the beach gets very hot, I slipped and fell because the railing was extremely hot. I recommend wrapping the railing with something to prevent it from getting very hot.,
