Fantastic welcoming hotel

We stayed over for a brief stopover on our journey back to the UK. A fantastic hotel with welcoming staff, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Dog friendly and a delicious restaurant attached. We will definitely return.

Handy location, good price, but a little dated

Upsides: The hotel is well located, right by the motorway, for a one-night stop to break a journey. The price is competitive. Downsides: The rooms are spacious, but the fittings and decor are dated. Only the bar area - also a bit dated - was open when we were there, so we cannot comment on the fancier-looking restaurant area. Food was okay, but nothing special.

Excellent mattresses on beds, great sized rooms. Ours had a lovely terrace and bath with shower. Bath is rather slippy. We arrived very late, after 11pm. Bar was still open, however, the night porter was a bit abrupt and had no intention of letting us through the door until I showed him our reservation.

Una buena parada en mitad del camino

A pesar de llegar una madrugada del 30 al 31 de diciembre, nos esperaron y abrieron con rapidez. El hotel aunque se le nota que tiene ya unos años, está muy bien cuidado y es perfecto para hacer alguna noche suelta. El restaurante muy animado y con buena variedad.
