Nice, Cozy Place
We thoroughly enjoyed Christina’s place. Conveniently located to beach & pier. Lots of windows for fresh, ambient air. Well appointed kitchen. Nice outside deck with foliage; charcoal barbecue. Friendly St. Barnard in adjacent residence (I.e. Bruce); and cool, hip hostess.

Great Stay in Santa Cruz
My daughter and I had a fantastic time in Santa Cruz while staying here! It's comfy and clean and had everything we could have wanted. It's a short walk to the beach/boardwalk and all the great shops and restaurants downtown, plus, easy access to highways to get to UCSC or the redwoods. Loved it!

Close to everything- great for short vacay
I wasn’t quite sure if my messages were sending through to Christina but I think it might be the VRBO application. Anyways, I had the place to myself and it was a great stay! I’ll more than likely bring family here when I have the opportunity to. The instructions of getting there were quite easy. Parking is available so you won’t have a special decal to park on the street if you’re a visitor. Once I opened the gate to the guest house, I was greeted by a fluffy white cat, which is one of two pets on her lot. As I got settled in, I noticed that most of the places (restaurants and beaches) I wanted to go to were 5-10 minutes away driving or 20 -25 minutes walking. Although it’s central to places and close to a main street (Mission), it was pretty quiet. The only noise I heard was a neighbor singing in the morning and little bit of noise from Christina’s family but it didn’t bother me. I slept in the bottom room with the bathroom and it was quite cozy and clean. Fresh linens and towels for you to wash up from a long drive. As far as recommendations to improve on would be to fix the doors to the bathroom. I noticed whenever I tried close them, it would scrape the wood floors and I didn’t want to damage them even more so I left it open. While I was able to fit comfortably in the shower stall, I think it would be nice to eventually adjust the size of shower in the future for people who might be on the slightly bigger side. All-in-all, I had a restful stay and would recommend this place for anyone wanting to explore around Santa Cruz.

Lovely get away for father and son.
This was a great location and comfortable. Very close to beach and places of interest. Nice welcoming lady, Christine. TV was great, too. We highly recommend this place because it is so close to downtown, restaurants, Emily's bakery . . . We love Santa Cruz!

My husband and I needed a place to stay for a week while our floors were refinished. Christina's place was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Christina was easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions we had. We would recommend Christina's place.

Convenient Location but no attention to details
Overall, we enjoyed this getaway, our first time using VRBO or any private vacation rental. The property was as described, and clean inside. There were just a few little attention to details missing that caused us to give a less than perfect review. The owner's large and very friendly dog did bark a lot at night; it seemed at every passing person on the street nearby. My senior mother has some difficulty walking, which was explained in advance, and the entry from the driveway to the gate of the rental are cobblestones (some quite loose) which were problematic for safety. Inside the two-story space, which is attached to their main home, was very comfortable, but you can hear through the walls, and a child was sometimes screaming or crying. This makes for a less than enjoyable "get away". Other details: BBQ and outdoor furniture wasn't clean, no cabinet pulls on the doors under the kitchen sink made it hard to open, corner cabinet door with loose hinge, sloppy painting & stain outside, artwork was hung crooked, or missing (just the nails on the walls.) It was a reasonable price, but would have liked some attention to the little things.

Perfect for us.
The location is perfect for just about anything you would want to do. It’s in a neighborhood but seems very private with a fence and trees. There is a very sweet Saint Bernard and a fluffy cat who will greet you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fun weekend away
We had a great weekend at this little getaway! The space was clean and so cute. We slept two adult couples in the space and it worked well! The only bathroom is located in the bedroom, but we’re pretty tight knit so it was okay. There is also the cutest and super friendly Saint Bernard that I loved. No complaints 😊

Walking through the gate you immediately are in awe with how much green plants are around you. The little porch is perfect for morning juice/coffee and our favorite spot to eat dinner. So cozy and so clean. Beds are comfortable and the little home has perfect air flow and lighting. I would definitely stay here again and again! Thank you for sharing your home and your garden!!
