My stay at Rio Vista Hotel in Santa Cruz was nothing short of delightful. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a picturesque setting that made me feel right at home.
The hotel's location right by the San Lorenzo River is perfect for those seeking a peaceful escape while still being close to all the action of downtown Santa Cruz. The views of the river and the surrounding greenery create a serene atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease.

Fabulous old Victorian home. Room is quite small but comfortable. Microwave and small fridge in the room was perfect.

We had a good stay. Place is very clean and spacious. Very walkable to the Boardwalk. All the hotel employees are so nice. Love the classic Victorian vibe!

The property is really cute and pretty and the room was lovely. The bed was really comfortable. The check in staff was really nice too. We will definitely stay here again.

Overall good experience. Friendly and helpful checkin. Room was freezing and couldn’t get the fireplace to work, but they had a space heater that did the trick. Bathroom smelled a hint musty. Shower water was hot and had good pressure. Vehicle noise was a little bothersome in our room since it was close to the intersection. Frequent vehicle honking and engine revving. Small homeless camp on the walking route to downtown. Not the best neighborhood.
