Complimentary cooked breakfast and happy hour wine tasting were a welcome surprise. Rooms were spacious and bathrooms huge. The adjacent landscaped grounds were lovely, especially after dark when multiple fire rings flame up. The related Victor restaurant patio had good food, casual / elegant ambience and…$5 beers on tap!

Just okay. Overpriced for what it is….but the historic charm is what they’re pricing. Rooms are large and clean. Breakfast is limited for an hotel charging $700 per night. Staff are basically kids and locals so limited training but nice enough. Venue probably relies on weddings and events. It would get a higher rating at $3-400 per night, which is where it should be.

I personally do not like rating hotels. I feel they are all the same but the Genevieve Hotel has to be one of the only hotels my family and I absolutely LOVED! It is clean, beyond beautiful, the staff was welcoming, the casino and Solvang super close. We absolutely loved it!! The only thing we wish for was, for the little town to have more fast food options. If only and we could’ve stayed longer.

Beautiful big room with timed fireplace! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom huge. Public spaces including the restaurant and library were beautiful. So we’re the entry space with staircase and outdoor garden. The staff were very nice. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was beautiful and classy. So beautifully decorated. I appreciated the fact that they included social hour with wine, desert time (cookie and pastries) and breakfast in the price. They also gave us wine "passport" which we could use for some freebies at local wineries. The only thing that was slightly off - was the room representation. I booked deluxe king room and when we checked in, we received the room on the first floor that looked much smaller than it did on the pictures. The staff assured us that this is what the deluxe room is, so we had no choice but to believe it. Other than that amenities were great - fireplace, in-room jacuzzi tub, robes - it was all there. And we had a wonderful time.
