I loved waking up early and riding one of the complementary bikes along the beach. The common areas are cozy and comfy. The art displays and interior design gave off the chillest vibe.

Staff was amazing. The room is small but doable. The shower/bathroom needs some detail cleaning. Could use some bleach or Tylex. I didnt want to step in the shower without my flipflops. Visible mold throughout. Otherwise, I had an enjoyable stay.

This property appears newly renovated, and has a European flair. It is very small, and the rooms are small too, but well put together, and maximizes space. You are centrally located to everything, and two blocks from Stearns Wharf/beach

Right in the centre of Santa Barbara the location is amazing. The room was quite small and when we arrived valet parking was full so we had to pay $55 dollars in public parking across the street. Otherwise a great place

This is centrally located in downtown and there are many delicious places to eat nearby. We enjoyed the beach just half a mile away and we also walked up State Street with many wonderful vendors.

Great location

The public areas were spacious and nicely furnished. The restaurant was delicious and colorful. The Inn was in a great location. The staff was delightful. My only disappointment was that the bathroom shower was so tiny that the floor flooded after each shower.

The Riviera House was a welcoming location. It was small, quaint, and intimate! The hotel was clean and well attended. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the noise level during their early morning renovations was extremely loud! Other than that we enjoyed staying at the Riviera House!

The lobby gives a great first impression — clean, modern, and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful too. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The rooms are tiny — barely enough space to open a suitcase, and nowhere to store luggage. The bathroom is just as cramped, and the baseboards and door to the “garden patio” (which you access through the bathroom) were dirty and even moldy. The “garden view” is misleading. It’s not a garden at all — just a small enclosed patio surrounded by walls and neighboring rooms. No view, no privacy. Valet parking is $38 per night, which feels steep, especially since I was handed my keys to pull my own car out of the space. The location is great with lots of dining and shopping nearby, but overall, the room’s size, cleanliness, and lack of value really bring this place down. I wouldn’t stay here again.

This is our go to hotel whenever we stay in Santa Barbara. It is always very clean. The common areas are super cute.The beds are comfortable. The rooms are small, but we don't need a lot because we never spend much time in the room. It is conveniently located a short walk from the train station and our favorite restaurant in SB.

Pros: staff and facilities, including bed were excellent. Agree with other reviewers regarding the shower/water situation; other than that rooms are small though neat and clean. Cons: Room next to us had a dog that was barking at night for over an hour; finally complained to the front desk and it got taken care of. Staff was very responsive in helping to take care of it, which was a plus. We have stayed at other pet friendly hotels and this had not been an issue. Just warning if one is sensitive to noise, you may want to bring good ear plugs.
