Beautiful views!! There are some hiking and mountain biking trails on the grounds, and a small coffee farm. Besides that there isn’t a whole lot to do so I suggest 2-3 days at most. Breakfast is included in your stay but for all your other meals you only have the choice of the restaurant, which had good food but it is a separate fee.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room I was assigned smelled like sewer. The restaurant service was as good as a holiday inn. Terrible.
Beautiful grounds, well manicured and staff attentive. Views were spectacular and one of a kind. Volcano views and evening town lights were magical. Volcanic group hike was challenging but definitely worth it. Our tour guide was excellent and well informed. Only regret was not staying longer.
The staff was nice, the view was great. The hotel lacks a little care and small essential items:
Bottled water more frequently, toilet paper, way more towels needed and more food and snack options would've been greatly appreciated. We constantly had to ask for every single thing and the lqck of wifi and signal in the rooms was annoying.
Beautiful view of the volcano! They had a good restaurant on property and good hiking trails and offered tours to the volcano. It is a hidden gem for sure.
Very clean and modern property with friendly staff. The rooms have an amazing view and there is breakfast and dining options available. Would recommend to anyone that wants to stay in this area.
The staff has among the nicest people we’ve ever encountered. While you are on a secluded areas and only one restaurant to eat the accommodation were excellent and the view is breathtaking. There are many activities to participate in and reasonably priced. Definitely a must stay in hotel.
Everyone is very friendly and provide an outstanding service. Downside: the hotel do not honor what they offer. Our cabin didn't have wifi and they refused to provide the free breakfast offered.
The views are breathtaking, the staff is lovely and the convenient location for hikes is amazing.
I would only advise visitors to either go with a rental/their cars or have drop off/pick up already planned ahead as is not easy to get transport around.
We had a very dangerous experience at this hotel. During the night, I had a severe allergic reaction and needed to leave to get medication. We discovered that the hotel gate was locked with a large chain and padlock, and there was no staff, no security, and no way to exit the property.
We tried contacting the hotel by email around 2 AM and WhatsApp around 5 AM — no response at all. We were effectively locked inside during a medical emergency.
The next morning, the front desk staff (Monica) told us the gate is locked at night for “guest safety.” However, locking guests inside without any emergency exit or staff available is extremely unsafe.
We had no choice but to leave early and book another hotel to get medical care. This situation could have been much worse.
I am posting photos of the lock and chain so others can see. Please be aware before booking.
P.s. I don't want to be unfair to the restaurant and restaurant staff. The food and staff at the restaurant was amazing. Thank you for taking care of us.
This property was beautiful and the staff were beyond kind. It was nice to have eating options withing the compound, but there were also street vendors on the main road. Drinking coffee and watching the sunrise and clouds from their viewing area is a really wonderful experience. Definitely a great option if you're interested Santa Anna (plus close to the Santa Anna volcano). Definitely a must visit!!
The views. Very pleasant peaceful nights. Nice igloos. Hot water.

Staff was friendly. Accommodations were great with stunning views of the volcano. Dining was limited to only one place with a small menu. Food was average. The only issue we had was the construction going on outside our room until 1:00am in the morning. Not very considerate of guests staying in the nearby igloos.
Would strongly recommend having own transportation. Getting out from the accommodation is a nightmare. Dinning restaurant (Dos Alas) is not great at all for what you pay for. The views are great.
