The staff was outstanding from check in to check out. The room and facilities are super clean. Breakfast is very generous and if not enough, they offer free cookies, popcorn and soda each evening at 7 Pm. I was not there a lot, but when I returned from my expeditions, it felt like coming home. They remembered my name. It was a personal touch that is rare anymore. I enjoyed my stay with Sandusky Super 8 very much.

We checked into room 204. As I was reading in bed, I saw a bed bug crawl toward me on the bed sheet. I killed it, put it into a tissue, and took it to the front desk. The motel staff were incredibly kind and responsive, and they moved us into another room. We checked the beds in the new room and saw no evidence of bed bugs, so we spent the night there. The mattresses were uncomfortable; old and with low spots on both sides of the bed. I had to sleep in the middle of the bed just to find a flat section of mattress. Breakfast was good, and the breakfast staff was great.
