We enjoyed the country atmosphere, being near the water and being near a charming small lake town. It would be nice to have a small microwave and/or a coffee pot in the room.

The separate cottage was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The cottage was very near the lake, and the grounds were extremely nice and peaceful. The location was great. I would stay there again.

Great location. Super clean little cottage with a surprisingly comfy bed. Loved the lake access so you could appreciate the view while the dog could nip at all the small lapping waves without having to go to the “beach”. We’ll be back! :-)

The room was pretty good. If it's mayfly season don't turn on your light outside your cottage unless you want to be swarmed with them. Was a nice stay and definitely will be back next year if I need to. Would recommend them to add communal microwaves or a microwave in some of the rooms as they are so handy for travelers to use

This is a very cute property, also very quiet and clean. It is a bit rustic, but we LOVED IT! There is a private little beach to Lake Erie as well. My only complaint would be the beds are uncomfortable. Feels like laying on springs, but if you print your own mattress topper, it’s fine! I would also suggest to put a set 4 bunk beds in on of the rooms. Kids hates sleeping with each other in the same bed, so if there were bunk beds… it would have been perfect. I’d say put 2 sets in a room, to make it fit 4 people. Other than that. We all loved it! 15 minutes for Kalahari, Cedar Point as well!

Good overnight stop on a road trip

The location and room were good for an overnight stay in a road trip. It's right on the lake with a few minutes walk to a park and a few minutes drive to Huron. The shower was a bit cramped, the controls on the AC were broken, and there was no way to make hot water for making coffee.

Cute little place. We arrived after check-in, but our room key was conveniently left on a hook just inside the office door. Our room was very quiet and the room clean and comfortable.

Nice spot near the shore of Lake Erie

This was a perfect place to stay for the recent eclipse. The owner was welcoming on day one, and I enjoyed my comfortable room for the duration of the stay. This reminded me of the motel my grandparents owned and managed in Summit Lake, Wisconsin, back in the 70s.

I only spent one night here but kind of wish I could have stayed longer. I stayed in one of the small cabins. The shower is small but it worked, had good water pressure and was all I needed. The cabin was clean and perfect for what I wanted and needed. Would definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

Great for a few old friends visiting Cedar Point

It wasn't fancy. It seems a little old (carpets, pillows, etc.). But for a group of old friends visiting the area, it did the job nicely -- two bedrooms (though only separated by a curtain), two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. It's close to Cedar Point and the bay, so it was a convenient distance for our activities, and the owners seemed quite friendly and accommodating. The walls are a bit thin, so you don't want to be too rowdy.

We selected this property because we had an overnight requirement in the area. The property was chosen because of its affordability and proximity to our activities. The room was nice, clean, and perfect for our needs. The only drawback is the room had no coffee maker which is a significant morning starter for us.

Quirky and Quiet

If you are looking for a Resort. This isn't it. BUT if you want quiet and inexpensive but clean.. this place is great. Tall people will have to slouch in the shower and its not scalding hot...but water pressure is good. Little bit tight quarters in the cottages but its very clean and comfy. Would stay here again!

Delightful place to stay!

If you prefer a chain hotel with all the modern amenities, this is NOT the place for you. If you enjoy a quaint, comfortable room, off the beaten path, and supporting a family-owned business - then this is your place. What a great place! The rooms may be small & dated - but they were clean, everyone is friendly and the setting is beautiful and quiet. Right on the lake and surrounded by birds. We saw bald eagles and a golden eagle, and so many other birds we lost count. I would absolutely stay there again!

A great place to stay that is quiet and clean. The only minor issue was that the water wasn’t ever hot for showers. Not a dealbreaker for me though, personally. Overall, it’s worth the price.

Kids can explore lake beach

The manager made sure I can easily get my room key after office hours and scheduled when I could pay for my stay. Rooms of main building are accessible to parking right outside each door. The little cabins were cute, too. There is a path down from the fire pit area of the last cabin, down to the beach. My grandsons who at first were disappointed that the pool was not open yet May 18 then truly enjoyed exploring the beach and will remember Lake Huron!
