Our family enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for what we needed. We enjoyed the pool area several evenings and it's in walking distance to restaurants, the pier, lighthouse and Park. The hotel was clean and comfortable for our stay.

A little gem

A nice little gem in port Clinton. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable accommodations, good coffee in the morning, and a relaxing pool area (which opened early and closed late). The motel was located downtown and across the street from the waterfront. Very walkable area.

This hotel was easy to check in and out of. Only thing I’d improve is the carpet. It needed a good cleaning or to just need replaced. I wore my flip flops and was fine. The location was great and gave me easy access to everything lake. Park across the street would be perfect for families. The downtown has seen some renovations and looked nice. It’s only a short walk away. I’ll definitely be staying here again.

My friend and I like the location of this property as it is walking distance to downtown Port Clinton. However, we felt that the property is badly in need of a makeover. The wallpaper is peeling, the woodwork is scratched, and it generally looks very old and looks like nothing has been updated in a long time.

Let down by positive reviews on hotels.com

I called about early check in and they said that was fine and would call me when room was ready. Never called. Check in went fine. Hallways smell really weird. Room smells even weirder. The bathroom is in the center of the room, which I didn't really get from the photos. This was inconvenient with a kiddo staying in the room. I asked when the pool was open and the front desk clerk just replied "I don't know." I went to check out in the morning and the staff seemed annoyed I was doing so. But I didn't have any instruction to do anything otherwise so I'm not sure what the story is there. I've randomly used hotels.com and their ratings to pick where I stay and this is the first time that I have to say it was a bad experience.
