We stayed twice going on the way to NoCal, then back home. We brought friends the second time and they loved it. The location is very convenient for walking around town and right across the street from Robins, one of our favorite restaurants in town. The room was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed and our dog was welcome with a biscuit jar at the front desk plus there were human treats too. Happy hour included a delicious carmelized onion flat bread house made and a full bar. We will definitely be returning to the Rigdon House.

We rented the family suite for a girls' weekend. It had one king and two queen beds in two bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable. We were concerned that the suite had only two bathroom for six women, but it became a non-issue. The Rigdon House is charming and welcoming and within steps of shopping and dining in Cambria. We definitely would stay here again!

We arrived really late and after hours. Power was out and it was pitch black inside and out. Still, place was beautiful, staff was friendly. Would definitely recommend and book again in the future.

We stayed here to break up the long trip to San Francisco and to visit Hearst Castle. We wound up loving this town. The hotel, which is in an historical building, was a stand-out for its nightly happy hour, its quaint charm, fire pit behind the main lobby, and ease of access to local shops and restaurants. Cambria is divided into two main areas, one which is the area around Moonstone Beach and the other, the town proper, which is a bit spread out with 2 different centers. The hotel was on the edge of one of the town centers. Shops tend to close at 5 or 6, so I really appreciated happy hour at the hotel--especially our concierge for the first night (I didn't catch her name but there were only two, her and a man). She was so efficient and helpful, made excellent drinks, and just created a really fun and relaxed atmosphere. The room where we stayed was clean, pet-friendly and big enough for the whole family, including the kids and grandma; coffee, tea, and other essentials were freely provided. The only problem we saw was with maintenance: there was mold of the window sill, and there was a gap between wood slats on the floor.

The urine order was so strong walking up the indoor stairs to our room #20 my eyes actually started watering. The condition of the room was beyond poor. Hasn’t has a bathroom update since before I was born for sure (70’s). We did not even sleep in the sheets. Slept on top of the bed over my wind breaker.
