Two bedroom B&B with great breakfast

The B&B is the lower floor of a house in Cambria in a neighborhood close to the beach. The owners were very kind, helpful, and cooked a great breakfast. The space is 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, which were fine, but there is no general sitting area. There is a deck for the guests. The beds were on the soft side. Only one guest party can stay at a time since these are the only rooms to let. The best part is that the house is close enough to the shore that it remains cool throughout the summer. Downtown Cambria is about 3 miles away.

We loved Bill and Janice. They were super nice and the deer and turkeys were great. Breakfast was delicious and we loved our stay.

Tolles Bed and Breakfast

Sehr nette Gastgeber. Tolles Frühstück... man kann auswählen, was zubereitet werden soll! Alles vorhanden in den Zimmern... TV, WLAN, DVD, Bücher, Steckdosenadapter, Nachtlichter, extra Bettdecken, Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank, Zugang zu Terasse, etc. Liegt sehr ruhig.

The hosts, Janis and Bill, were very friendly and full of knowledge about the surrounding areas. They gave us a menu every day for the next days breakfast and we could choose as much and whatever we wanted. Bill is an excellent cook! We had the whole downstairs to ourselves, two bedrooms and a bathroom, with a deck outside of one of the bedrooms, and deer in the forest, very near the ocean.

A little too cozy.................

The owners were lovely people who provided a great breakfast every morning. But the accomodations were disappointing. The rooms are very small and have not been updated for many years (a floral wallpaper border for example). And although the place was mostly clean if you looked more closely (baseboards and bedskirts) it was clear that they hadn't seen a thorough cleaning for awhile. There was also an odor about the whole place that wasn't pleasing (not offensive but not good). Because it was cold and rainy we couldn't use the deck so you felt kind of trapped inside the house with really nowhere to relax and have a glass of wine unless you were sitting on beds. We wo'n't be staying there again.

Nos hospedamos en esta casa/hostal por una noche como parada intermedia de nuestro recorrido por el Big Sur. La casa pertenece a una pareja de jubilados que te acogen con mucho cariño. Duermes en la planta baja en una habitación muy cómoda en la que te sientes como en casa. El desayuno es mítico en este hogar, pues está riquísimo y abundante y además puedes charlar con la pareja sobre cosas de California. Además ellos están muy interesados en conocerte lo cual me resultó muy interesante. El mejor sitio en el que parar por esta zona. Cerca se puede visitar todo el Big Sur, San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay...

This is not a B&B

The owners were very nice, but it was an extremely awkward situation. This is a bedroom in the basement of a single family home. I felt like I was at my grandma's house. Bedding was clean but very old with a musky odor.

Fantastic Place to Stay

This place beats staying in a hotel. You are basically renting the whole downstairs portion of the house. 2 bedrooms, bathroom with a shower/tub, an outside sitting area under the pine trees, and an outside deck with a barbeque, table, and chairs. Cooked to order breakfast is included and is very good. The owners are very nice. The only downside is the main bedroom has a queen size bed that is comfortable except that it tends to bow down in the middle causing you to lay on a sideways slope. This did not interfere with our sleep though. We would stay here again.

Great Air B&B “in the trees”

What wonderful hosts! Bill and Janis were so nice, the bed was comfy, and the breakfast was amazing. You MUST try Bill’s country potatoes!

Dreydon B&B

Dreydon B&B was very comfortable, especially because both bedroom spaces were available. There is only a single bathroom, so once one of the bedrooms books, Bill & Janis close the availability. The Breakfast was by request from a varied menu.

Great Cozy Stay with Great Homemade Breakfast!

Rooms we stayed in were very clean, nicely decorated, and beds were very comfortable, and there were lots of DVDs to watch from the past. Breakfast was served on nice décor table next to owner's living room, and Bill (owner) was master chef made the breakfast to include delicious homemade potatoes and baked extra sharp cheddar & seafood quiches. Tasty sausage was fine quality from local vendor. Breakfast is pre-ordered from night before and Bill cooked everything that was requested for and served warm with a friendly smile. Bill and Janis were very kind and made our stay most welcomed. Home is located in the hills with many trees and young dear running around in the morning. I highly recommend this place for a cozy stay with great tasting full homemade breakfast.

Nice, quiet location

The owners of this B & B took great care to make us (2 adults with 2 preteen grandchildren) welcome. The breakfast served was delicious. We would recommend Dreydon House.

Tres bon accueil et petit déjeuner préparé sur mesure ! Micro ondes, frigo, vaisselle et table sur terrasse extérieure : c'est un plus 2 chambres séparées : les enfants ont apprécié... On a juste trouvé le lit double un peu mou.

Could be really nice

I was disappointed with Dreydon House regarding cleanliness. I called the hosts a half hour before we arrived as we were arriving 2 hours sooner than expected, but still in the late afternoon. Perhaps the state of the rooms was due to arriving earlier, however I don't believe that to be the case. The bathroom sink was not clean, nor had the rooms been dusted in a while. The carpets also need cleaning. Aside from the above, I have to say the hosts were wonderful, kind and informative. The breakfast was fantastic and there was plenty to be had.

Quiet Neighborhood close to Hearst Castle

A very welcoming arrival and helpful with any questions we had. Bill and Janis served a good breakfast and had great tips for our travels. They also helped us with getting tickets to Hearst Castle which worked out.
