Clean, comfortable room, great breakfast, kind staff. But the noise level was totally unacceptable. There is a restaurant/bar attached to the hotel, and the music was very loud and went on until late into the night, especially Friday night.

Safe area and nice breakfast. I think if it were more clear that it is Hotel Villa Antigua it would have been easier for my Uber driver to find since it just said Hotel Villa on Expedia. Was checking in just after 10 and had to ring the bell several times but was able to eventually confirm and check in then everything was great after that. Was trying to message the property beforehand to let them know time of arrival just in case but had difficulty with that…just said Sorry opps something went wrong. Not a big deal but just something to be aware of since I think San Salvador for the most part sleeps pretty early. Even my second day there after visiting the National Capital and library and grabbing a bite to eat the streets were basically empty by 830pm. This was a great location though just down the hill from Hilton and much more at home and better price here at Hotel Villa Antigua. Spent my time at a nearby Volcano and the Historic district. Was glad I brought my umbrella for a change…used it 2x. Enjoy!

The hotel was great, the staff was super friendly and helpful, however the food in the restaurant was embarrassingly awful. We had pupusas and ceviche and they were both an embarrassment and completely disrespectful to a country known for pupusas
