Perfect place to stay. It's only a short drive from San Pedro with restaurants and shops. Bus tours picked us up from the hostel. Lovely big shared kitchen which was always clean and tidy. Lovely pool and plenty of seating area around. We stayed for 6 nights and loved it.

The Peumayen Atacama / Hostal & Cabaña is a family-run hotel located a few kilometers south of SPDA just east of the entrance to Valle de la Luna. If you desire being immersed in the dust and congestion of San Pedro proper, this property is not for you. It is a large compound with comfortable rooms, friendly staff, large common spaces, large shared kitchen/dining facility, pool and game room. It is gated & secure with plenty of covered parking (yes, you will need a car for best access to sites in and around SPDA and use of hotel /facilities).

Thanks to Carlos for being an amazing host, my friends and I felt so welcomed and safe and comfortable on the property. It is a little farther from city center so plan accordingly, Carlos was so gracious to pick us up, but it was also easy to ask for a local number to get taxi. The rooms are way more spacious than in the center and felt like a ranch, with amazing lounge areas, a pool, and views all around of Valle de la Luna and the stars

It's really a small oasis in the desert. Warming and attending staff. A very well equipped kitchen for guests to cook if they see a need. Excellent surroundings. A perfect place to stay for a few days if you have your own transportation.

We had a great stay at the location. This is the right place if you are looking for peace and being outside the buzz of the city. Carlos is a super nice and helpful host. The kitchen area is very well equipped. We would definitely go again. A car is recommended.

Staying at the Peumayen Atacama was the highlight of our stay in the Atacama Desert. Our place was lovely, clean and quiet. Carlos was amazing, he was always friendly, helpful and a joy to stay at his lodge. We miss him and are looking forward to returning one year soon just to come back and stay here again!!!

Very nice lodge, a short drive from town. Rooms are large and well equipped; same as shared kitchen. Common areas are very nice. Wifi is slow to non-existent in bedroom; one has to go to common areas for weak signal.

What an incredible place to stay! If you have a car in Atacama, this is just perfect ! We stayed with our family and enjoyed the apartment and facilities dearly . The apartment was comfortable and perfect. It had everything we needed to cook, dine, lounge, and enjoy ourselves. My kids loved the pool , trampoline , fusball table , ping pong , hammocks and the board games . Most of all the warmth of the owner Juan Carlos. We will sincerely miss him . You couldn’t ask for a more caring and hospitable man . He gave such thorough advice for what to do , where to eat , etc. We’ll miss you Juan Carlos !

Os quartos são simples mas muito limpos, como descrito nas fotos. O local fica a cerca de 8km do centro de San Pedro de Atacama, como estávamos de carro, isso não foi um problema. O hotel dispõe de uma cozinha coletiva, com fogão, geladeira e utensílios completos para cozinhar — isso ajuda muito pois o custo das refeições em San Pedro são altos. Há também uma piscina, salão de jogos e Wi-Fi grátis. José Carlos é um anfitrião extraordinário, nos fazendo sentir em casa e passando informações para as atrações locais. Definitivamente recomendado, especialmente de tiver com veículo alugado.

Minhas estadia foi incrível, O Hotel é limpo, organizado, o quarto é espaçoso, com banheiro equipado e tudo que era necessário na acomodação. Destaco o atendimento do nosso anfitrião Carlos que foi muito simpático do começo ao fim. Recomendo a todos que vão a São Pedro de Atacama e querem fugir dos Hostels.

Oikein hieno huoneistohotelli. Tilaa huoneistossa oli hyvin, Kaiki siistiä ja toimivaa. Uima-allas myös aivan riittävä. Paikka on muutaman km päässä San Pedrosta mutta alue on tosi rauhallinen - ja poissa San Pedron valosaasteesta - mahdollistaen hyvän näkymän tähtitaivaalle. Carlos, paikan omistaja, oli erittäin avulias ja erinomainen isäntä!

Excelente opçao de estadia fora do agito de San Pedro do Atacama, mas a curta distancia de carro. Local muito tranquilo com area verde ao redor da propriedade, o que é raro de se ver por ser uma regiao tao árida. Instalações muito bem cuidadas, com opcoes de quartos com cozinha compartilhada ou com estrutura completa para familias, ainda com piscina para se refrescar do calor intenso. Juan Carlos e equipe sao muto atenciosos e com dicas excelentes de passeios, alem disso, preparam um cafe da manhã excepcional, saudavel e com produtos de qualidade, otimo custo-beneficio. Nos sentimos muito seguros e acolhidos. Dica de ouro, aluguem um carro, quase todos os passeios podem ser feitos sem contratar tour, de forma mais tranquila e sem os compromissos de horário e se tiverem saudades de água, nao deixem de ir as termas de Puritama ou ao Vale dos Cactus para entrar no rio.

Ideal para famílias, muito bem localizado a poucos minutos de carro do centro de San Pedro do Atacama e fácil acesso para as atrações da região. Quartos amplos, cozinha muito bem equipada, piscinas bem cuidadas ideais para o clima quente do Atacama. Há também salão de jogos e cama elástica para divertimento das crianças. Juan Carlos é um excelente anfitrião, muito solicito para garantir que a estadia seja impecável. Super recomendamos!
