I did not stay at the hotel. Due to a health situation, I was unable to travel and contacted the hotel to ask if a family member could use the two nights in my place, or if I could receive a credit for future use. Their only response was to contact the agency through which I made the reservation. The agency, in turn, told me to contact the hotel.
I had a different reservation at a nearby hotel, and they had no issue issuing a credit under my name since I couldn’t make it. Alma Azul, however, has horrible customer service.
I did not stay at Alma Azul not by choice, but given this experience with such a poor customer service and lack of care of guest, I would never try again to stay there. Outrageous.
