I have stayed at the Santa Maria Inn multiple times for business and recently for personal reasons due to a family loss. Based on past positive experiences, I recommended it to my family for a family service. Upon arrival at 2:00 PM, I requested a slightly early check-in but had to wait until 3:00 PM, causing me to be late for the service. Even then, the room was not ready, and I had to return later to check in. I discovered the room had a single king-sized bed instead of the reserved two queen beds. The front desk apologized and offered a rollaway bed, which was not ideal. At midnight, we faced a door issue; the rollaway bed blocked access, and the upper latch was engaged. My keycard didn’t work on the second door. A staff member made new keycards but couldn’t open the door, requiring an engineer’s help at 1:15 AM. Despite the staff’s efforts, the experience was disappointing due to the series of issues, including not being able to check in on time and not receiving the reserved room.

Old building. Room is very clean. Nice bed. But the rooms face the street can hear the traffic very noisy all night. Can hear the people in the room upstairs too. When AC is on it is very loud. The toilet water tank leaks water. Overall did not get a good night sleep.

The inside of that building is truly a trip through a ghostyard of Hollywood's golden age. But not eerie! The building, the details...it's all beautifully preserved. The rooms are generously sized, the plumbing is acceptable, all fixtures and all clean. The pillows could've been bigger, but it was so comfortable there, it didnt matter.

The room was spacious and clean, however, the bathroom was dirty. The sink and shower had the previous occupants hair in the basins. The walls are thin and you can hear people speaking in the adjacent rooms. In addition, there were alot of sirens heard from the street throughout the day and evening. There is sufficient parking, however, the multi-level parking structure behind the hotel is very sketchy looking and lacks lighting and security. There are several close by restaurants which is a plus.

Room was old and dirty, not as pictured. Small bathroom had no counters to put your stuff. Sink was falling off pedestal, bathtub fixtures were old and dirty, low water pressure. Walls and floors were dirty. Pillows were a joke, look like sofa pillow cushions. Outdated lamp, no usb ports. Hallways had a bad odor too. We were given room on first floor all the way in the back, away from main hotel. Stayed in nicer motel rooms than this one. Will not stay here again.
