I had a wonderful stay! It started off rocky, but the staff made accommodations to correct the mishap. The only issue was the lack of water; but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

Lite sniket att ta betalt extra för att vi fick rummet tidigare, de hade ingen bagageförvaring. Vi var de enda gästerna dessutom när vi kom. Fint med kodlås på port och hotellrum. Annars fungerade det bra med bara mailkontakt när vi tex behövde mer toapapper. Ingen städning av rummet när vi var där en vecka.

Bed sheets werent changed once, dirty towels were never collected and the dishes were dirty as were the towels they had black hairs on them. And water didnt work at all so that sucked

Check in process was super efficient. I love the ambiance in the hallway and kitchen. The room was very clean, already cooled, and very practical. I had to make a last minute change to the reservation and the people were very polite and attentive. A really nice bonus was the area because we were in front of a churro bar and a mercado/bodega so it was perfect for a small vibe. Lastly, I really appreciated the bin of leftover sun-care products that can be used whenever. I really enjoyed my time here :)

Room and facilities were great. Large shower, good size room and great air conditioning. Continental breakfast options were diverse. Communication to get the access codes was not good. They did not provide the codes in advance so we could not get into our room. Other very kind guests helped us to contact the company. Once we had the right phone number the customer service was very good. We suggest providing the local contact phone number OUTSIDE so that people can call if there are issues.

The photos of the room are very different than the actual room. Same goes for the amenities and common areas. It is made to show much bigger than it actually is. The description of the room was also different I booked a full bed and a queen futon and turns out to be a twin. The quality is also not at all of what was expected for the price. The bed spread was very bumpy but the pillows were comfortable. The room also had a ton of nats. The air conditioning worked very well. The breakfast was disappointing was two types of feral from one of those big dispensers I believe flakes and cheerios. Some light snacks like granola bars and pop tarts. The fridge was closed one of the days so didn’t even have access to the milk for the cearel

Tapia Haus 103 is EVERYTHING. I wanted the Full experience living around the local Puerto Rican’s and Tapia Haus gave me that. This is gem and it’s centrally located to walk to the beach, night life, and great food places. Anthony and Hunter deliver two different experiences while both are very pleasant and honest. I cannot wait to go back again!!! Thanks Tapia Haus 103 for a wonderful experience!!!

the owner is very nice and helpful but i still still kinda miserable staying here. the location and room itself is very nice despite there being no elevators. i def enjoyed it being gated but it took use a bit to get use to the lock to get inside our room. youll have to pull the door towards you, put in the access code THEN itll unlock otherwise youll be stuck waiting outside. i really enjoyed how we were given beach towels too that was very nice and the fridge and microwave. the cons is we had no wifi the entire weekened we were there and by the second day, no hot water and the rest of the weekend the water pressure was extremely weird so there will be normal water running then it'll spurt out in short increments so showering and washing my hair and the dishes became super difficult. then our ac stopped working so we had to move rooms. it had so much potential but we probably wont stay here again unfortunately as we didnt get to use most of our amenities.

Loved the location - and I never try to leave bad reviews; however the floors hide dirt really well and were rarely mopped - our socks and feet were filthy. There was a sign in the room that breakfast was served from 8-9am, but we never saw anyone to be able to order it. There was never any staff there early in the mornings. Most importantly, the room had BEDBUGS. They devoured me, I spoke to and sent pictures to the manager and she didn't seem concerned at all. No offer of making it right - NOTHING. Don't stay here. Location isn't everything.

First the pros: management very nice and very responsive; the small kitchen was nice to have and the room was relatively new. The above pros are far outweighed by the cons: the room is supposed to sleep 3 but only sleeps 1 comfortably. No linens at all were in the room for the futon the 1st night. They arrived promptly the next day upon my request but the futon was hard as a rock and lumpy so my college aged son and I both had to sleep in the double bed. The small double bed had a TWIN sized mattress pad on it, which resulted in ridges on both sides of the bed. This is ridiculous for $260 a night. The breakfast area has no AC, the neighborhood is sketchy and the “breakfast” is minimal at best. There is rarely anyone around during the day and the person who was there didn’t speak English. She knocked on our door and woke us up before checkout time, wasn’t very friendly and seemed put out when we asked to leave our luggage there for a little while. (Fortunately my poor Spanish was enough to communicate this.) There wasn’t a closet or anything so we just had to leave it out in the open in the back of the breakfast area. Finally, the link to Google Maps on their hotels.com listing is incorrect- we were driving around late at night looking in the wrong place for it. I travel extensively worldwide and I have definitely stayed in worse places but NOT for the price paid for this hotel. I know SJ is expensive but there is almost no value for money here.

Muy bueno el hospedaje en tapia haus 103 lo pase super bien el area tranquilo. Una recomendacion en el area del baño tiene que poner algo para tener privacidad por que con un cristal sin poder tapar con una cortina lo que estan caminando o el vecino nos puede mirar es lo unico que encontre un poco sin privacidad. Pero de lo demas lo recomiendo a todos muy limpio muy acogedor y cerca de todo.

Room was clean and came with cooking utensils even though we never cooked in there. “Continental breakfast” is a bit of a stretch, more like “complimentary morning snack”. Water pressure was low and off at times but that’s not their fault. Not the best location, don’t rent a car if staying here. Overall 7.5/10, budget pricing is the only thing that makes it worth it

Great location, Staff answers there watapp pretty quick. There was no hot water for the first few days and no water pressure. But Staff explained that there was a issue with the water in Puerto Rico at the time so it wasn't that big of a deal. All in all we enjoyed the location and will stay again. I will recommend to others

They tried their best, the people that work here are great, however I'm sorry to say, overall my experience was not great. There were many issues, no one ever fixed the broken toilet seat (half off the toilet), little to no water pressure at times, toilet doesn't flush well sometimes not at all, the sink was partially clogged and they never tried to fix it, and the room, particularly the bathroom, smelled like farts. Can't forget the huge cockroach, and that the mattress was old and lumpy. Oh, and no one said anything about the fact that we needed to put our used toilet paper in the trash can until I saw the sign in the bathroom. It's a polished turd.

The place was clean and gave a little Puerto Rico vibes. The breakfast was nothing fancy. It was just honey buns,muffins stuffed with like that. They did have cereal but where they kept the milk the fridge happened to be locked. They keep the stuff set up outside where ants run around it. I wasn’t aware that they fill up a tank of water and only turn the water on twice a day at certain times. Never was I able to take a shower because the water wasn’t on. We had to leave the number 1 and two sitting in the toilet till whenever water filled the back part of the toilet. Because we were never there when the water turned on we couldn’t fill the bucket they had left in the restroom with water. I’m not sure if they came in the room when we were gone if they did nothing was ever restocked or the water filled up for us. They did walk in on us one time and I was confused on why they were going into the room when we had been there going on 5 days and nothing was ever cleaned up or restocked.

Unfortunately at the time of coming, there was a water problem on the island. This affected our ability to shower or brush our teeth for the majority of our 4 night stay. After the beach, we had to rinse our bodies with the water jugs provided by Tapia House. Every shower we started, ended after 1 minute of running water. We were unable to wash any dishes or flush the toilet most of the time. There was no broom provided for sweeping the floor of any sand, despite being 2 minutes from the beach. We also had a MAJOR ant problem our first night. We had left a togo box on the counter and when we woke up the next morning, the entire room was infested with these miniature ants. They were crawling up the walls and all over our stuff on the counters. The bed was horrible. It had the plastic packaging still on it, and the only bedding provided was a fitted sheet, loose sheet and a duvet COVER, not even a real comforter. We were directly on the street, able to hear anything and everything that walked by or into the Tapia House. The pillows had big yellow stains on them and we had no access to fresh towels or linens, so we had to reuse the same things over and over after going to the beach and attempting to shower. The air conditioning was amazing in the room and we were very grateful for the water jugs provided. Overall, just get a real hotel in the city. The area was surrounded by cops on our 3rd day because of a shooting or something and we were about 15 minutes from Old San Juan.
