It’s just another hotel for people who like to party. Just room bed & bath nothing fancy just felt dirty leaving there since sand gets everywhere but expect that for a beach hotel.

Hotel staff was excellent. Unfortunately, the facilities are dirty and deteriorating. Our room didn’t have any outlets in the bathroom. The room was not cleaned properly, found lids of fast food drinks in the corner of the bedroom. No hairdryer. No available mirrors to get ready, had to kneel on the bed to use the mirror over the headboard.

It's gtreat that is in a great location, but it looks and smells dirty and old. Not even a full roll of tissue. Floor was dirty only to cheap pillows and bot even extras on hand. It could be good. Need renovations and room updates bad! Furniture from the 80's

I felt like I was catfished. The Amount I paid for 1 night and the property did not match the pictures. It was disgusting. Stained linens, roach in the bathroom, filthy dirty curtains, bags of trash pilled up in front of the hotel steps, old and scratched up furniture. The elevator is old, dirty, and not leveled. Scary, dirty and you can hear every person on the street.

Inexpensive stay

In an area of expensive lodging it served our purpose for an inexpensive 1 night stay prior to a cruise. Check in and out was easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is beside a beach. The area was very walkable with good access to restaurants. The hotel itself could use a little TLC.

Hotel is run down. Location is great. It would be a good idea to upgrade the property, including the common area with tables and vending machines . There was a leak in the hallway on the main floor. Bathroom was small, but ok. Room dressing room should be replaced. The outdoor area furniture could also be replaced.

Enjoyed our trip in San Juan. The hotel staff was very friendly and so were the other residents staying at Sandy Beach Hotel. The water was hard to figure out how to get the water warm and the lack of a fridge was disappointing.
